You won’t believe what was on my porch!

When we arrived home from the 100 mile yard sale, I saw 2 nice size boxes sitting on our porch… My hubby said, “Were you expecting anything?” I told him ‘no’ and didn’t think any more about it, but gathered up all our goodies from the car. He was the first one to the front door, and he called out, “Hey, they have your name on them.” Now that’s a way to get me moving a little faster. I hurried up and made it inside where I looked at the boxes and found them both from the same reader. I wondered what in the world might be inside?

When I opened them up, I was flabbergasted, (sort of like I was Sunday night at the ending of my Civil War dress auction!!!) and could hardly believe it. One of my subscribers decided to do a little downsizing of some of her dolly stuff and thought maybe I could use them as props in my listings. I absolutely could…and will.

Look at this…I got everything out and took one picture of everything…

If you click on any picture, it will enlarge.

Now let me show you a little better.

First, here is a wardrobe that will be perfect for Ten Ping. I painted a white plastic one to have an antique look, but this one is a pretty wooden one…

Look at this darling hope chest… it was packed with all the little goodies inside…

Betsy is playing Vanna White and showing you the chest… she’s the only one of my dolls not standing on the doll shelf naked. She has an honest to goodness dress on, so she’ll do the honors today…

In the background you can see a really pretty chair with a velvet seat and another white metal chair with a cushion on it. There is also a metal table with an etched glass mirror top…

I somehow missed a close up picture of it, but there were 4 packages of blue and white bows and flowers… and some sparkly stickers.

Betsy said it was too much work to play Vanna, so she’s sitting in the velvet chair… it’s really pretty…

The mirrored table picture didn’t turn out too well, but I think you can see it…

There are little biscuit tins, a blue and white china set of dishes, a tiny tea set for my littlest girls… and more trinkets… I really need to set up a couple of rooms for my girls…

Sometimes I absolutely cannot believe the generosity of my readers… I am humbled to be a receiver of so many wonderful gifts from you all.
To the reader who sent me these items… thank you so much! May the Lord bless you for the kindness you showed me…

See you tomorrow,
Blessings, Jeanne

Wow, what a treasure trove you got, Jeanne!! Looks like Betsy is pretty happy, too, being the first to try out the chair and all!!

  2. Oh gosh, you lucky lady!! You certainly do bring out the best in people and are so deserving! Betsy looks very happy now that she has a little “set up” and I don’t think she will want to leave before getting her own cup of tea!

  3. These are wonderful — new inspiration for scenes. It looks like the next dress should be an Effner/Betsy dress suitable for a tea party — what could be nicer in June? And biscuit boxes. These new props will keep you ready to set up auction pictures all summer. Everyone should be flabbergasted once in a while. What a nice day for good things. And you do use stickers like the pretty new ones on and in the tissue and boxes you pack your dresses in to send them to lucky winners. By the way, you charge some of the lowest prices for shipping and do some of the nicest packing.

  4. What a wonderful collection of lots of things just the right size for the smaller dolls. At first I thought the wardrobe was plastic painted to look like wood, but it really is wood. Perfect! How generous of your follower to find the right home for this darling collection. Now we all get to enjoy them in your listing pictures. Thanks from your followers.

Congrats on the Summer Charm auction. It’s great to see your efforts so well rewarded. Have fun with your lovely presents.

  5. It is almost like Christmas in May! What wonderful gifts you received. In addition to the great presents, there is an even better present and that is the friendship behind the items. Someone sending items such as these really shows the importance you have in that person’s life. You are so much more than a blog writer to us, and these presents represent that. That is truly special.
I hope you have a good day. Have fun with all your new accessories!
    Take care.

  6. Love all of the furniture and goodies. Perfect for a spring tea party. I think Betsy is enjoying her new Vanna position. 🙂 Glad you had some surprise packages to share with us.
    Soon it will be June!

You are so blessed Jeanne! I love the little tea sets. Do you happen to know where I could find them. I guess Ebay might have some for AG Dolls. Enjoy your treasures, God is
    so good all the time.

  8. What a marvelous gift, Jeanne, and how thoughtful of your reader to surprise you! I’m sure it made you smile. Your big heart certainly fosters kindness and generosity in others, and these charming little props could not have found a better home. All of your followers will look forward to how you use them and spying them in future listing pictures. Thank you for a heart-warming post, and thank you to your kind-hearted reader. Enjoy your sweet gifts!

  9. What a sweet gift you received. You really do need to set up scenes now. Scenes are so much fun. You may have to make quick dress for your dolls to stand around and look pretty in. All the props are darling. Love the tiny tea set. I have a miniature Made in Germany one I bought for my daughter from Hearth Song catalog many years ago. It has since become mine, yeah, and is perfectly sized for Samantha as a child’s tea set. I like to display it with her Nutcracker doll and mohair teddy bear. Enjoy all your new goodies.

  10. Thank you everyone… Aren’t all these pieces fun? I showed them to my hubby’s sister yesterday on my phone but when she saw them in person, she was surprised. She thought they were tiny pieces like on a miniature doll house…
My brother and his family are still here so this might be the only comment I make…
    Brothers come before blogs….:o)
    Have a wonderful day everyone!
    Blessings, Jeanne

  11. Those are so pretty! I love the little hope chest, and the little biscuit tins are just too sweet. By the way Jeanne, before I get busy and forget to tell you, I was at Target today and saw some pretty sweaters. They were really soft and had 3/4 length sleeves. I didn’t notice the price, but you may want to check out your local Target if you are still looking for some.
