Yarn for Skinny Scarves and Ten Ping’s School Dress…

Yesterday I showed you a package Rebecca got from Jan, one of my subscribers…(HERE)… today it’s my turn. I got a huge box from Maureen, another of my subscribers, filled with all kinds of yarns for us to make more Skinny Scarves and list in our Etsy shop! I especially love the peacock blue colored yarns… but Rebecca liked the greens…(She’s a redhead!) Thank you so much Maureen! I was looking at all of it as I was taking pictures and can’t wait to get some new scarves made. Here’s a look at what was in the box!!!

Well, one thing led to another and I realized I hadn’t ever gotten the 2 scarves from my giveaway that didn’t get chosen, listed in our Etsy shop…(Bad seller, bad seller…) so I got them out and took pictures of them and came up with a new one too. Rebecca had already made some “bling” for it…

Here’s BLUE: (if you think the yarn is too long for the tail, it can be trimmed off very easily to the length you like.)

PURPLE: (This scarf has no bling, but just ties around your neck in your favorite knot…)

REDS/GREENS: (this one is SO beautiful, but my pictures are the pits… I guess that’s what happens when you take your pictures at 11 p.m. at night.)

If anyone is interested in the scarves… just let me know and you can purchase them right from here. They are $18 and FREE shipping on my website.

Now to Ten Ping… I got her shoes finished and her outfit is ready to be revealed…all the way…
(If you’d like your very own Ten Ping, why not visit Lonestar Dolls (HERE) and talk to Dale. She’ll find the perfect doll for you.) Ten Ping also has a best friend named GiGi and congrats to Charlotte…she told me she ordered her last night!!!

…and these are the shoes I ended up with. I’ve got the top part down, I just have to figure out a different way to make the shoe attach to the sole. I thought of something tonight, so I’m going to give it a try next…

  1. What a lot of color you have given us today. I love the shirts that go with the scarves and show them off. Do you have a dozen different colors or what? That yarn is a wonderful present.
Ten-Ping looks like a very tiny teacher, and the book is perfect with her very serious expression.
Are some of the Julie pictures new? Somehow the dress looks even prettier than it did for the previous auction. That is the perfect purse for it. A big straw hat wouldn’t be bad either.
I see that Felicity’s auction is attracting bids — no surprise there — it’s a beautiful outfit and it deserves to be appreciated.
I know it’s 1:30, which is why I’m first today. I just washed my hair and I need it dry before I sleep on it.

    1. Hi Marilyn,
Those colorful tops are all mine. Yes, the yarn is definitely nice! We have big plans for the scarves…
No, I think Julie’s pictures are the same. I debated about finding a hat for her or a long necklace but just decided to give it another try as is…
Felicity’s dress does have a fair number of watchers, so we’ll see…
My older sister, her hubby, Hannah a d her mom are here visiting from PA…

  2. Wow, I thought Marilyn was a pretty early riser, but it turns out she was just going to bed!! I guess I’m first today, but have been up for awhile now.

I love those scarves, Jeanne! I have bought them for my daughter and daughter-in-law, and can say they are very well done and I should get myself one this fall! So nice of Maureen to send all that pretty yarn!

Ten Ping looks so cute, and yes, like Marilyn says, she looks like a tiny teacher! I guess I can’t really appreciate how cute she looks, since I can’t see her in person, how tiny she really is, but she is a little doll! LOL That is an adorable set and you expertly blended several different prints and plaids of material to make one outfit. You really have to know what you are doing to be able to do that! The shoes turned out great too!

Also, did you get my Paypal payment for the necklace? Just wondering.

    1. Hi Linda, thanks for your nice words about Ten Pings dress set and about the scarves. I want to make myself a scarf from the bluish colored yarns. I just love them.
My sister is visiting and we are trying to figure out what to do…

  3. Jeanne, just a note to say the necklace came today! It is just lovely and Cecile is enchanted with it! Rebecca is just the perfect person to have to make your jewelry! Thank you Rebecca, for a job well done!

    1. Hi Linda, thanks for letting me know your necklace arrived. I’m glad Cecile likes it!

    1. Thanks Regina,
I’m glad you Luke Ten Pings dress…and shoes! I hope someone wants it in the end…
      Blessings, Jeanne

  4. I know you have been working on the shoes. But, have you tried sewing and then turning rightside? Would have a cleaner outside look? I was thinking of making a pair, but have not done any as of yet. Looking for your guidance. Also, perhaps you might just use the sole template and glue the fabric to the back, then another sole on top? Need some tiny cute shoes. 🙂

    1. HI Joy,
Yes, I have been working on these tiny shoes forever… but I think I have finally figured it out. I’m hoping to get pictures up tomorrow of what I’ve come up with.
It is time consuming at least right now…
Well, I have to get some pictures taken if I plan on having a post for tomorrow…
      Thanks Joy,
      Blessings, Jeanne

  5. The color combinations you do for the skinny scarves are just lovely. Really nice yarn and accessories too. Ten Ping sure is darling in red and black
I’ve missed a few posts..Still spending lots of hospital time with our friends wife…it’s going to be a long recovery.

    1. Hi Kathie,
Thanks for the kind compliments on our skinny scarves… It’s almost time to start wearing them… and maybe some places in the country, it IS time to wear them.

I’m sorry about your friends wife… thanks for being a friend to her when she needs you most! May the Lord replenish your time that you’ve given away…
      Blessings, Jeanne
