“Treasured: He Loves Me” ….Three Centerpieces…

My sister’s church out in PA had a Ladies Retreat this weekend and she was asked if she could make 3 centerpieces for some tables. The theme for their retreat was “Treasured: He Loves Me” so they wanted jewels, and treasure chests, and lots of bling that sparkled. If anyone could pull this off, my very talented, decorator sister, Cindy could. She rummaged through her stuff, and had quite a bit already on hand…

Look at what she came up with! Aren’t they beautiful?

DO click on the first 3 pictures… they get REALLY LARGE and you can see all the gorgeous details.

She did buy this plastic crown at Wal Mart for $3 and coated it with glue and sprinkled it with German Glass Glitter.

Just thought I’d share a bit of her talent with you all…

Their theme verses from the Bible were:

Deuteronomy 14:2 – For you are a people holy to the LORD your God. Out of all the peoples on the face of the earth, the LORD has chosen you to be his treasured possession.

1 Corinthians 7:23 – God paid a high price for you, so don’t be enslaved by the world.

Philippians 1:6 – And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.

Have a lovely Sunday,

See you tomorrow,
Blessings, Jeanne

  1. Oh my goodness, Jeanne, those are just the most beautiful centerpieces I have ever seen! Cindy certainly is talented!! I hope the ladies had a very inspirational retreat, because those centerpieces were enough to make it so! Just beautiful!

Oh gosh, I forgot to email you last night about the game, but as you probably know, we lost. Ugh! Oh well, those pictures above really perked me up!

    1. Hi Linda,
Yes, weren’t they beautiful? Cindy should be in some kind of decorator business….well she does have a booth at an antique mall in PA but she needs to do something where everyone sees her talents! You should see how she transforms furniture!!!
I’m sure the ladies at the retreat were blessed by the center pieces…talk about a backdrop…they were perfect!

No I was working in my sewing room and missed the news of the Cards losing…
      When is the next game?

      Thanks Linda,
      Blessings, Jeanne

      1. Jeanne,
The next game is Monday in Chicago, around 5:30 or so. I’m kind of surprised you aren’t a Cubs fan, since you live in Illinois, but we’ll take you gladly!! Go Cards!

        1. HI Linda,
We are less than 2 hours south of St. Louis, and you’d NEVER catch us rooting for the Chicago Cubs team! Never ever! I don’t care if it is an Illinois team! Oh, did I say NEVER?
          Blessings, Jeanne

Incredible !!! The center pieces are out of this world beautiful !
Your sister is one very talented lady. Runs in the family…….

    1. Thank you Jeannie,
My sister is truly an artist…I am going to have to “feature” her one of these days!
      Thanks for your sweet comments,
      Blessings, Jeanne

  3. Thanks Jeanne, “Bling” was our theme, how God is refining us from a lump of coal into a precious jewel. If you look in the center of the first picture you can see the small dish of chunks of coal. 40 ladies gathered to share and encourage each other to “shine” for Jesus. It was a beautiful weekend in the southern hills of Pennsylvania!!!! Love you and wish you could have come. Thank you ladies for the compliments☺️

    1. Hi Cindy,
I saw that dish of “something” but didn’t realize it was coal. What a neat way to contrast things…
what we are…against what He can transform us into.
I am so glad you all had a wonderful time!
See you in a few days!!!!
      Love you, Jeanne

    1. Thanks Kathie,
My younger sister is the musician of the family…. She has been playing the piano since she was four years old. I have got to figure out a way to get videos on my blog. I would love to have you all hear just how talented she is!!! She makes me cry when I hear her play.
My older sister is the artist and decorator…but then again, Deb is too…very much so…. And my brother is a genius at engineering, designs, he has over 10 patents with Caterpillar, and just as sweet as he is smart!
      I love my family!!!
      Blessings, Jeanne
