Two Girls in Blue just waiting for YOU…

The dresses are finished except for the hem
My girls look so sweet just standing in them
It takes a long time for handwork and snaps
I sewed and I sewed, till I thought I’d collapse

There are slips still to make and decorate in blue
And accessories to find, I won’t give you a clue
So maybe tomorrow…it might be quite late
I think they’ll be done, and I hope you can’t wait!

See you tomorrow,
Blessings, Jeanne

  1. I must make a stand.
    Your dresses are grand.
    So pretty in blue.
    And yes, there are two!
    So, thank you for sharing
    And as always caring.
The last thing I will say,
    Have a great day!

    1. Thank you dear Charlotte, I do like your rhyme
I hope I can finish if I have the time
The sun, it is shining so the day WILL be great
But other things first..the girls, they must wait.
      Thank you Charlotte,
      Blessings, Jeanne

    1. Thank you Oksana,
I really hope I can get the dress sets finished.
Thank you for your kind comments.
      Blessings, Jeanne

  2. You’re a poet and we all know it! And so is Charlotte. The dresses are just darling and the hats are just the right size for the little sisters. I still haven’t been able to find those laser-cut felt flowers on eBay or Etsy. I must be entering the wrong names. They really add so much to the outfits. Can’t wait to see the finished dresses and accessories. It’s a wonderful set.

    1. Hi Susette,
I’m not so much a poet as sometimes I just get carried away and want to do something different. I’m glad you liked it.
George wanted to plant 2 small trees so I haven’t made it to my dresses yet…but hopefully…
      Thanks Susette,
      Blessings, Jeanne

  3. It’s the first day of Spring!
What will the day will bring?
    We may hear rain ping.
    Many just a ring.
Some can rhyme while others cling.
Better to look at lovely bling.

The girls are so sweet! You’ve been working very hard.

    1. Hi Joy,
Oh, I love it another poet in the group. Sometime I should say all the comments have to be in the form of a rhyme…
      Thanks for the smiles, Joy,
      Blessings, Jeanne

  4. You sound a little bit tired. Maybe you can manage a nap to give you the energy to finish these really charming spring outfits. Love the rhymes that yours inspired. Isn’t it fun to have a doll small enough to be a little sister for your Little Darlings?

It was 80 yesterday here. The crabapple blossoms are about to come out and we’re nearly certain to have snow that will kill them. The fire here is 50% contained and no homes were lost, so that looks really good. Any snow will at least help prevent forest fires. They used to be rare.

    1. Hi Marilyn,
Well, no nap just yet. George and I are planting 2 trees in the backyard. He cut down one that was cracked on Saturday so these 2 are on either side of where that one was.
We had to come in and give him a break so I’m hurrying to get my comments answered.
Oh I sure hope the snow doesn’t get your blossoming trees and bushes. That would be awful…
      Thanks Marilyn,
      Blessings, Jeanne

  5. I’m finally here, Jeanne! I am helping, well, not helping, but supervising my hubby put in new closet doors for my doll closet. Just too hard with the sliding doors, so we have bifold doors now, or will soon.

Those dresses and hats are just adorable! I kind of like them long, but you probably have them hemmed by now. They look like little flower girls in the long dresses! No matter what, they will be completely adorable when finished!

It’s spring!!! That seems to be bringing out the poets in some of us!!

I need to get back to “supervising”!!

    1. Hi Linda,
Oh, how fun to be getting new doors to your dolly closet…you know we’ll have to see pictures…:o)
I haven’t made it to my doll dresses yet, and they aren’t hemmed, but I do have them pinned up, sort of on the “tea length” side.
Well, I’m going to have to go too…the supervisor here is calling me…
      Blessings, Jeanne

  6. Totally lovely in every way….enjoyed the blue letters as well as the fantastic rhymes that have come forth today from you and others.

May the sun shine upon you today.

    Blessings.

    1. Hi Becky,
Well, the sun IS shining on us and things are going well…well at least outside they are…not so much in my sewing room…
I have hope that they will get some time from me today…
      Thank you Becky,
      Blessings, Jeanne
