Trixie Tonner gets cuter as each day goes by…Plus added pics of Elin…

My dad was right when he said, “You can’t really tell much about a dress until it’s hemmed!” This newest dress for Trixie proves him right, I think!
What a difference from this…

…to this!

I finished this about 10:30 Wednesday evening, so I wasn’t able to get it listed on Ebay. But my hope is to get it on Thursday evening…so keep your eyes open!

I happened, miraculously, to have a piece of turquoise wool felt for her hat…

Turquoise checked ribbon for her white bear’s bow…

I had some little girls tights that I cut up for her thigh highs…

…and tulle for her sweetheart of a slip… she’s been twirling in it on my cutting table!

Here are a few more pictures to entice you to bring it home to your Tonner favorite… (shameless plug… :o)

UPDATE:
One of my subscribers asked if Trixie’s dress fit the BID’s from Iplehouse… Yes, it does, (except for the thigh highs…Trixie’s legs are too chubby, but if someone wins this for their BID, I will make a new pair of thigh highs to fit her.) I wanted to show you a few pictures of it on Elin because she looks pretty sweet in this color too. (I need to reset one of Elin’s eyes… it’s gone a little bit wonky…)

    1. HI Shirley,
I just updated my post to include some pictures of the dress on Elin. The dress and slip fit just fine, but the tights are too big, so a new pair would have to be included if the dress was bought exclusively for the Iplehouse dolls.
I always forget to include Elin in my Patsy listings… Thanks for reminding me…
      Blessings, Jeanne

Thanks Jeanne. I love Elin in the outfit too !!!! I have a new Nami in LB resin. She would look darling in this outfit!

  1. Oh how cute that last picture is, Jeanne! It almost looks like a summer outfit, nice and cool—-which we need now! Oh my, the heat and humidity here! Going up to 100 degrees and fell like temps to 110! Another day inside, I guess!

The outfit turned out just darling, and the hat is perfect! I see you got a blue and white ribbon for the little bear—nothing escapes you to make things perfect! Good luck on this outfit for bidding. It will make some little doll very happy!

    1. Thank you Linda,
I do like the slip on Trixie too… it is sort of like a summery sundress! I added a few pictures of the dress on my Iplehouse BID, Elin. She looks just as sweet in the slip as Trixie does.
We are having the hot temps and heat index’s too… pretty miserable out there.
It’s amazing to me that I had the exact same shade of turquoise in my wool felt stash as in her dress! I’m glad I did though.
I hope some little doll loves it when it sells…some “mommy” too!
      Blessings, Jeanne

  2. Amazing that you actually had some matching wool felt! The hat is so cute in felt. Fits so nicely.
I think she’s ready to head to the ice cream parlor or outside with a popsicle. Don’t melt.

    1. HI Joy,
That’s just what I told Linda… what were the chances that I’d have that same color???
I have made so many hat patterns it’s not funny… I finally think I have Patsy’s hat pattern figured out. I wrote in big letters on my pattern… PATSY – USE THIS ONE!
I should just make a bunch of hats and then make the dresses to match them… :o)

I updated my post and added a few pictures of Elin in the dress too. I’ll have to see what she’ll be doing. I mentioned a tea party in my poem, but I don’t have any dresses for my other girls so I may have to rethink that idea.
As hot as it’s been… ice cream or a popsicle sounds nice!
      Thanks Joy,
      blessings, Jeanne

  3. Good morning, Jeanne! What can I say, except that Patsy and I are just enchanted by this ensemble! The little felt hat matches perfectly, and of course Mr. Bear’s bow is coordinated! And oh my, that slip! I agree completely with Linda about the last picture looking almost like a summer outfit in and of itself. It may sound silly, but I have always wanted one of your sweet tulle slips, and this one is a full slip at that! This is simply a delicious summer confection, Jeanne. Many will be charmed by this one, but I’m keeping my fingers crossed! Wishing everyone a bit of relief from the heat.

    1. HI Anne,
My, you are full of compliments today and I appreciate that very much! It’s always fun for me to hear what everyone thinks of a doll dress when I’m finished with it. I can almost hear you swooning over this dress… maybe it’s just me…
I added a few pictures of the dress on Elin, my Iplehouse BID, so if you want to see more pictures, till it gets listed… check the post again…
      Thanks so much Anne,
      Blessings, Jeanne

  4. You make the cutest outfits, Jeanne. Trixie looks very charming today in this beautifully completed outfit.

    Take care.

    1. HI Becky,
Thank you very much for your sweet comments! I’m glad everyone approves!
I also updated my post and added some pictures of my Iplehouse BID, Elin, at the bottom.
      Thank you so much Becky,
      Blessings, Jeanne

    1. Thank you Shara,
I’m getting it listed on Ebay right now… so tonight you’ll get to see it all!
      Blessings, Jeanne
