Thinning out some dolls… Nahji is up first

I have too many dolls… do you? I don’t have room on my doll shelf so a few are going to have to get the boot. I’ll be listing Nahji, a Heart for Heart doll. She’s 14″ tall and is the Indian version. I don’t have her original outfit, so I made a slip for her as she travels to her new home.

The listing will go on Ebay Tuesday evening if you’d like to check it out. Since it’s not active yet, I can’t put the link for it, but as soon as it is listed, I’ll add it here. You can now see Najhi’s listing HERE.

I will go ahead and show you some pictures of her though. She was a hard one to let go… she is VERY beautiful.

I will try to get a few more listed as soon as I can…

See you soon,
Blessings, Jeanne

Nahji IS a beautiful doll, and I remember when you got her! I’m sure it’s hard to let her go, but I really don’t remember seeing her model anything in quite a while, so….

Her slip is lovely–it looks like a ballet dress!

Good luck on your sale, Jeanne!

    1. Thank you Charlotte,
She is one of those dolls who just doesn’t get the modeling time she deserves. She’s such a pretty doll and deserves a new home.
      Thanks so much,
      Blessings, Jeanne

  2. Hi Jeanne
I really didn’t remember Nahji so I did a search on your blog and oh boy what fun reading through your past posts and yes it did jog my memory. She is quite striking. I can understand having to pare your collection down – very difficult decision. Also wishing you good luck.

    1. Thank you Leigh,
She really is a fun size doll and I hope some new mommy gets to make her very happy.
I’ve enjoyed her being on my dolly shelf all this time.
      Blessings, Jeanne

  3. I’d forgotten how lovely the Heart for Heart dolls photograph. I have Shola, but for some reason she doesn’t get a lot of attention around here either. Good luck with your sale.
We have fog today and it’s kind of chilly. Definitely starting to look like fall.

    1. HI Joy,
Yes, the Heart for Heart dolls really are nice little dolls. She’ll be a nice addition to someone else’s collection.
I wish my life was simpler and I could sew for ALL the dolls. That would be wonderful!
      Thanks Joy,
      Blessings, Jeanne

  4. Very pretty doll. I do remember when you got her although I don’t think she modeled more than one or two things. Her slip is very sweet with the eyelet fabric and lilac trim.
I can see paring down your collection so you have only the ones you actively sew for. You know I only have five so paring down isn’t necessary. I would never part with Felicity, Samantha, Caroline or Marie-Grace. My customized Nellie with #33’s wig would only leave if I found a light Josefina mold with a preferred eye/hair combination and with the new eyes/body fabric/vinyl AG is using I don’t think that will happen ( at least not currently). I’ll be curious as to who you let go.

    1. HI Laura,
You are exactly right…the ones I don’t sew for are having to go… it just seems like it will be easier when I have fewer dolls staring at me.

My life used to be simpler and I had more time to get around to all the dolls on my shelf, but lately I’ve been having trouble even getting to sit in my sewing chair.
Some dolls are more popular than others so they get my attention first.
      Thanks Laura,
      Blessings, Jeanne

  5. No one is going to be happier someplace else than in your sewing room, but various dolls might be as happy elsewhere. Julie is standing here in a beautiful lavender sweater, purple leggings, and tall boots. She seems content and has made new friends.

Nahji is beautiful and she has a good chance for a quick sale because she looks so pretty in that beautiful slip. It will make her stand out from the competition, and of course she looks well cared for with her perfect hair.

Fall really is coming, isn’t it? Maybe it’s just this week, but I can feel the difference. I do hope it last a while and we have beautiful leaves to enjoy. Julie can wait for at least a couple of months before she needs her fur coat.
