Ten Ping reveals her new “Razzle Dazzle” Set… plus something else

I stayed up late to get Ten Ping’s outfit finished because I know how much you all love REVEALS! I think this is my favorite outfit so far for Ten Ping. She looks pretty cute in the red and black and one of my subscribers thought she could see a hint of a smile on her face. ( I haven’t seen it yet, but I’m still watching!)

Remember this outfit started out with the shoes as the main feature. I made them and then decided to make the outfit to go with them.

That’s not typically how I work… Since Ten Ping is only 8″ tall and on the petite side, I made her dress pretty simple. It has 2 ruffles with raw edges and is something you might see in a department store for a little girl.

You should have seen how many ways I was going to embellish it. I almost couldn’t make up my mind how and where to place the accents. I’m happy with the final placements though and hope you like them too.

If you had a pair of legging’s I think this set would look cute as a short dress with them underneath. I should have made a pair but I just now thought of it as I was writing this.

I think her hat is very cute and I love how it goes with the dress and pants. How about some pictures…

I just LOVE her…

I got the set listed on Ebay and you can find it HERE or click on the right side bar on the picture of it. It will take you to the listing.

My son and I had a great time at the St. Louis Cardinal’s baseball game a few nights ago. He gave me tickets to the game for Mother’s Day. It was a perfect evening without any rain at all, and it was majorly in the forecast. There was as slight breeze and very pleasant. Best of all… they WON the game! Here is Busch Stadium…

Okay, and now…RELUCTANTLY, a few selfie pictures… I won’t even make any excuses except to say, we had to walk a long way to get to the stadium so I’m a little frazzled looking…

  1. Hi Jeanne,

    1. Hello Myriam,
Welcome to my blog! I’m so glad you joined in on the fun… and hope you stay a long time!
Thank you very much for your kind words about my work! I so enjoy sewing and I hope it shows!
      Blessings to you,
      Jeanne

  2. Oh Jeanne, how absolutely adorable that outfit for Ten Ping is! I love the play of the red and black, plus the edges of the dress make it look so one of a kind—-which I am sure it is! The reds of the different fabrics match so well, which isn’t always the case sometimes when picking out fabrics. Although Ten Ping isn’t really smiling with her mouth, I see a hint of a smile in her eyes!

Oh, those pictures of the ballgame! Like I mentioned before, you look young enough to be your son’s girlfriend! He certainly is a nice looking young man with a heart of gold! So glad you had a good time

    1. HI Linda,
Thanks so much for liking Ten Ping’s outfit! She whispered to me very softly that she likes it. Still no smile…maybe some day! Yes, maybe she’s smiling with her eyes.

Oh, Linda, don’t kid me like that… young enough to be my son’s girlfriend? Where would you like your “money” sent? I haven’t heard a compliment like that in a LONG time! The pictures just look a little distorted and it really what I was hoping they would turn out like. But it is what it is! He is a keeper and yes, we did have a lot of fun….with a soft pretzel with nacho cheese and some little Italian Ice thingy… it was a memory to keep! Blessings, Jeanne

  3. Ten Ping is very cute in her new outfit. It’s nice to see a selfie after reading your blog for so long. 🙂 Now I can put a face to everything I read about you. You and your son look very happy. 🙂

    1. HI Christine,
I’m so happy everyone likes Ten Ping’s outfit. I guess I made the right choices on my decorating it…
Yes, now I’ve exposed myself…not too flattering, but nevertheless, you know who Jeanne Marie is now.
We did have a really nice time together. He’s gone to lots of games so he knew “the ropes” and treated me like a queen.
      Blessings, Jeanne

  4. Thank you for the pics of yourself, Jeannie. My mind kept trying to do age progression on your photo from high school and it is so much better seeing the real and beautiful you. You and your son look so much alike! Wow!
Ten Ping is sitting in your hand! She is such a cute and proper little lady, isn’t she? Her new outfit is adorable on her. I love the double ruffled skirt with the flower embellishments and her sweet hat frames her face perfectly. Hmmm, I think I may see a hint of a smile on that cute little face too…
    Have a wonderful day, Jeanne!

    1. HI Cindy,
I debated and debated about putting those pictures on here, and finally succumbed to the pressure. I’m not trying to impress anyone, so who cares… I would have liked for my first picture to be a little better though. Oh well…
Yes, I pulled a Cindy Rice and put Ten Ping in my hand. She is just such a sweetie. I think this dress set made me fall in love with her for good. I think it’s the red and black combination of fabrics. She just looks perfect in these colors.
      Thanks so much Cindy,
      Blessings, Jeanne

  5. Ten ping outfit is so cute. You do not look frazzled, you look happy. It is great so see a photo of you and your son..sweet!

    1. HI Regina,
Thanks for the compliments on Ten Ping’s outfit. She likes it, I like it, and you all seem to like it… Perfect!
It was a fun night…not a glamour night, so thank you so much for your kind words…
We had a lot of fun!
      Blessings, Jeanne

  6. Hi Jeanne – loved the pictures of you and your son! You are just as I pictured you – beautiful and sweet looking but far younger than I pictured. Both of you look like the anticipation of the game was going to be so much fun. Sweet smiling faces. How fun. What a handsome son and he is so good to his mama!
Ten Ping’s dress is too adorable. The whole outfit is just darling. Excellent work as always. She looks absolutely sweet in it.
Have a wonderful and blessed day.

    1. HI Paula,
Thank you so much for your very kind words about my picture! I was scared to put it on here. It wasn’t a good picture and looked sort of distorted…but I did it anyway. We had a lot of fun and it was a memorable night and Mother’s Day present!
Thank you too, for your sweet words about Ten Ping’s outfit. I appreciate them.
      blessings, Jeanne

  7. Jeannie B. in TX

I love little Ms. Ten Ping’s outfit. So bright and cheerful.

I love the pic of you and your son together. AND, we now know what you look like. You have been hiding !!! You look great as I expected. Nice to go some place special on a date with your son.

    1. Hi Jeannie,
Thank you for your comments about Ten Ping’s outfit. Maybe you should make your little one something and it might make you fall in love with her. I have to admit, this outfit caused me to really like her the most. Up till now, she was cute but she hadn’t stolen my heart, but now she has.
Thanks for the compliments on our pictures together. I’m not very photogenic and then to have pictures that weren’t great…well, let’s just say, it was a bit hard for me to put them on here. But now you know what I look like, and I hope it doesn’t scare anyone away!
It was a very nice “date” with my son! I think he enjoyed the night too.
      Blessings, Jeanne

  8. Whoo-Hoo that Ten ping outfit is perfect! She looks so good in it too. The hat and felt flowers make it so original. Maybe the Goodwill red US dress would make hats for all your girls…or vests…or belts…or boots…or purses.
The Cardinal Game was fun I’m sure..nothing like your son doing something nice for his Mom! What a sweetie!

    1. HI Kathie,
Thanks for your compliments on Ten Ping’s dress set. I really like how it turned out. I managed to get a little pair of shoes cut out of the red dress, and pretty soon I’ll be onto your Ultrasuede scraps. Thank you again!!!
Yes, I had so much fun, I might ask for this present again for Mother’s Day next year!
      Blessings, Jeanne

  9. Too early for lunch but I had to check what s new on your blog. Happy pic of you and your son. I follow several sports but never have been to a big time game in any sport. Ten Pings outfit is darling. Good fortune on the auction.

Hope you have time to work on the ultra suede.

    1. HI Jan,
I hope you had a good lunch and I hope you enjoyed today’s post! I went to a baseball game many many many years ago, so it was almost like going to it for the first time again. Plus this is a new stadium for the St. Louis Cardinals so it WAS a totally new place for me.
Thanks for your well wishes on Ten Ping’s auction. I hope someone likes it!

I have been working on the ultra suede. I’m almost ready for a “reveal” on some shoes!
You’ll have to keep a look out!
      Blessings, Jeanne
