Just a “little bit” of Valentine sweetness…

Don’t get too excited over my title…! I wanted so badly to get Molly’s slip finished but that didn’t happen as I was working in “both” kitchens! I worked with my hubby in the church’s kitchen this morning and this afternoon and evening I was working in my kitchen putting together some treat bags for my mom to give out to the residents where she now lives…

Here’s a look at momma’s treat bags…we’ll pass them out tomorrow. I put together 65 of them, with candy, chocolate chip cookies and my mint cookie bark…

If you click on any picture, it will enlarge…

Here’s what it looked like at the church kitchen…It doesn’t look like anything has changed, but it has… my hubby only has one more outlet to put in and 2 to double check and “see where they go…” it’s a mystery he says!

This is the opposite wall… the cabinets were removed today…tomorrow I’ll start sanding the underside of the soffits… and then it will be almost time to put up the brick wall…

In other “news…” the “Ice Ghost” returned as we had melting of the ice, but it refroze… and Reuben wasn’t the least bit interested in it this time around the house.

In the middle of all this “icky-ness” I’ve been showing you… how about something pretty? A few years back I participated in one of the Valentine Swaps on the Little Darlings doll forum… My gift was Over the Top from Susan Scribner… and I thought I’d share it with you… My pictures aren’t the greatest, but you’ll still love it! I received everything you see in that sweet pink case… Isabelle was my only Little Darling at the time, so she graciously modeled it for me…

(sorry, my pictures below won’t enlarge… you’ll just have to look closely…)

It was all for my doll, except I received some chocolate too! :o)

I hope you enjoyed seeing those pictures. I don’t think I’ve ever shared them except when I posted what I had received on the forum years ago.

See you tomorrow,
Blessings, Jeanne

~ Pretty as a Picture ~ Little Darling dress revealed…

PLEASE NOTE:
I added something new on my right side bar. You can now see my last 10 posts at a glance. If you missed one, you can easily click on it instead of scrolling down through all the other ones.

I hope I have this right, but I’m pretty sure Anne mentioned it… “Pretty as a Picture” that is… As soon as she mentioned it in passing, I knew it was going to be the name of Isabelle’s red and pink dress. I think it fits this set perfectly!

I was going to give you some “teaser” pictures today, but I decided to be nice and show you the dress in all its glory! The only bad thing is my camera just could not capture how truly pretty this pink and red are together. The hat is pretty much a bubblegum pink and that matches the pink in the dress perfectly. Maybe it’s a good thing because if the winner thinks these pictures are nice, they’ll be thrilled when they open their box and see it in person…

Let’s start with the unders… the thigh highs first…made from a pretty white stretch knit…

[If you click on my pictures they will enlarge.]

Then Isabelle has on a pretty pink tulle slip… it’s just what this dress needed to hold it out a little bit.

When Isabelle put on the dress, she could not stop looking in the mirror… she liked the embroidery work on the front bodice and the pink bows on the sleeves…

Here are those little red buttons in the back…

She found a sweet pink bunny (thank you Miss Susette!) in the Dolly Toy Box and knew this was what she wanted as her accessory…

She put on her hat last and twirled around on my cutting table… she told me she felt like a princess. Awww…Isabelle, I’m glad you like it so much!

Aren’t you glad I didn’t tease you today???

I’ll do my very best to get my listing on Ebay Thursday evening. I already have the pictures uploaded… I just have to do the listing part…

See you tomorrow,
Blessings, Jeanne

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this little pink hat!

I had a super busy day and I never stepped into my sewing room until almost 10:00 tonight. I had finished something last night that I wanted to share with you, but I was also hoping to get something else finished…to go with it…didn’t happen! :o( I know, I know, I am sad just like you are, but hey, there’s always tomorrow…so we’ll see what Tuesday holds for me…

Okay, so here’s what I made last evening… a sweet pink straw hat decorated with pretty pink and red paper roses. Isabelle said it was her turn and she’s probably right… Lian piped up and said, “Hey, but I look good in pinks too…” I told her it was Isabelle’s turn and Isabelle looked at me with those brown eyes of hers and said, “Okay, can I put the hat on now?” Sure…so here she is…looking about as darling as a Little Darling can!

My lighting wasn’t very good but it is the prettiest pink straw…like what you’ll see on the fabric. I wish you could see it in person…it’s just so adorable. I keep picking it up and holding it in the palm of my hand… *sigh*

And what do you think was my inspiration for the hat? Why this pretty pink and red cotton print, of course…

Why so many pictures of the same hat, you ask? Because that’s ALL I have to show…

Maybe I’ll have more time in my sewing room tomorrow…

See you tomorrow,
Blessings, Jeanne
