Red, white and blue…the last Patriotic dresses for YOU!

I did get all of your comments from yesterday’s post answered this morning (at 1:00 a.m.) Sorry I was so late… I was busy…

I’ve searched all my files and I do believe this is the last of the Patriotic dresses for my dolls. But… I said that about my Valentine dresses and found a few extra ones lurking in some hidden file and had to show them late.

Here is my “football shoulders” Samantha modeling a pretty Patriotic dress for you. I loved the dress but her shoulders were SO square, I thought they detracted from how pretty it was. Maybe it was just me…but that’s why I eventually sold her…

Isabelle was cool the year she wore this sweet little sun dress to the fireworks! It has a shirred top and look…she caught a butterfly!

Madras plaids are fabrics I love to work with. They are usually bright and coordinate with other fabrics wonderfully.

…and finishing up my collection of Fourth of July dresses is Samantha again. This outfit was from 2007 and my pictures aren’t great at all. Samantha looks like she’s the Leaning Tower of Pisa.

Thanks for all your sweet comments on my Red, White and Blue outfits for my dolls.

See you tomorrow,

  1. Hi Jeanne,
The patriotic dresses are all so cute and perfectly made. I love your stories about the girls as models and their accessories. You are so clever. The little kitty sleeping on the bench. Love how Isabelle let the pretty butterfly land on her hand.
My sister, who used to sew, also had an older Molly, and much like your old Samantha, found some of the clothes she made for Molly, unflattering. Her Molly was also bulky in the body. I don’t think either one of us knew to pull out some of the stuffing, especially in her rear end.
    Have a blessed day!

    1. HI Paula,
Thanks so much for not thinking my stories are silly… well maybe they are silly, but not stupid! I appreciate that!
I probably could have fixed my Samantha too, but wasn’t sure at the time what was the problem. As I look at her now, clearly she had shoulders that were way too wide! I guess I wasn’t the only one who had a disproportionate doll.
I did have a blessed day,
      Blessings to you, Jeanne

  2. You come up with the cutest hats…love the double ruffle one!
Nothing beats Red, White and Blue!

    1. Hi Kathie,
You are right…whoever came up with the color scheme for being patriotic certainly had it all figured out correctly!
      Thanks so much Kathie,
      Blessings, Jeanne
