Patsy Tonner’s “Patriotic Pride” listed on Ebay…

You’ll be happy to know I got my dishes done AND I got Patsy’s dress listed on Ebay! I know I’m out of time for any more Fourth of July listings, so this is it for this year. I hope I do better next year. Knowing the 4th is this Saturday, I made this listing for Patsy’s dress a ONE DAY auction so it will end this evening. (Sunday night) I will ship it out Priority Mail! If the winner pays for it immediately it should arrive in plenty of time to get your doll all dressed up for the festivities!! I hope you’ll take a peek at it. You can click on the picture of it at the right side bar or click HERE.

Okay, now who wants to see some pictures?

Jeanne, I am happy to hear that you did get your dishes done. Though sometimes I think using paper plates would be so much easier and certainly quicker at the clean up stage. However, the spilling off a paper plate is no fun to clean up either so we are sticking with our old dishes in this household. Even though we have a dishwasher I am so old school that I end up hand washing many pieces in hot soapy water with a good rinse and hand drying with my very old cotton drying towels.
I am loving Patsy’s new red, white and blue dress ensemble. With those gorgeous blue eyes she just shines patriotism !! Lovin’ the addition of the hat too. It just might be very sunny at the parade on the 4th. What was it that Scarlett say about always wearing a bonnet ??? A girl does have to protect her complexion from those ultraviolet sunrays !!
I did finish up my dress for LD – Caroline last evening so hopefully today I will be able to work on Molly’s dress. I borrowed some embellishment hints from you so when I send you the pic you will know I take your suggestions to heart.
We are hoping for a somewhat cooler Sunday. Maybe just in the lower 90’s. yikes. Summer has hit in Texas. Even the cats are staying indoors during the afternoons.

    1. HI Jeannie,
We DO use paperplates for some things….like sandwiches, crackers and cheese, snacks, etc. but for the most part, we use dishes too!
I’m glad you like Patsy’s dress and I can’t wait to see yours!
Our Sunday is a little bit cooler too…85 when we came home from church… I can handle the heat, it’s the humidity that gets me…
      Smart cats!!!
Thanks for the nice note, Jeannie,
      Blessings, Jeanne

  2. A Happy Sunday to you, Jeanne. So, you did good getting two patriotic dresses made. Time speeds by all too fast. Patsy’s new one is very cute and now she is all ready for the parade. My poor Patsy is jealous; it’s been ages since she has had a new outfit. I really should give her a bit of attention.
Have you had a cloudy June? In the Chicago area it has been the cloudiest Junes on record (122 years of record keeping).
    Hope your day goes well!

    1. HI Cindy,
I REALLY should take a lesson from you and start on Fall things now! You are one smart cookie! I didn’t know you had a Patsy, but maybe you’ll make her something soon…poor thing… :o(

I don’t know about being cloudy, but we’ve certainly had our fair share of rain… so maybe it has been cloudy and I didn’t realize it.
Today is sunny and 85! Hope you are getting at least a little sunshine!
      Thanks Cindy,
      Blessings, Jeanne

  3. That’s a super cute combination!
Good luck with it!…and the tiny Monkey is so unique!
Have a great Sunday! Off to the City garden Walk!

    1. HI Kathie,
      Thanks for your sweet comments…
What is the City Garden Walk? Perhaps an area filled with flowers that people can walk through? or maybe a fund raiser for an organization?
      I have had a great Sunday already…
      Thanks Kathie,
      Blessings, Jeanne

      1. The Garden City walk was sponsored by a charity and covered midtown Omaha areas with pretty gardens and unusual trees…one was a tree dating back to 1780, which for here is REALLY old! We were stationed at a home built in 1924..added onto 3 times ( you could not tell) and had a huge pool and awesome plantings in pots that were 3 ft across. 3 original trees from the 1920’s still in the yard which was 3 lots wide. Fun day.

  4. Hi Jeanne,
Patsy’s dress is far cuter than I could have guessed. The details are perfect and so unique. It’s a beautiful and patriotic dress. Love it!
If I lived closer, I’d come and do your dishes for you so you could keep on sewing!! LOL.
Like Jeannie B., we have a dishwasher but there are certain things I like to wash by hand and dry with old soft cotton towels too. Some of my old towels were my mother-in-law’s! The kitchen was the great visiting area for women in her generation…washing, drying and catching up on news!
Have a lovely Sunday, Jeanne. It looks like the sun is out with a blue sky and puffy clouds.
    P.S. I haven’t found a good project yet.

    1. HI Paula,
Thanks for your kind words about Patsy’s dress, and if you lived closer, we wouldn’t do dishes…we’d visit!
I’ve found my project and I’ve been taking pics of it along the way. I’ll share it soon… Hope you find something to do soon too!
      Blessings, Jeanne

    1. Hi again Jevne,
I was just sitting her answering some comments and my phone went “cha-ching” “cha-ching” “cha-ching” so I looked at the auction and sure enough, more bids had been placed. This one day listing is turning out to be pretty exciting!
      Thanks for watching…
      Blessings, Jeanne

  5. What a darling dress for Patsy! I love the hat too, and that cute little monkey! Yes, I see the auction is going well—very well! It’s fun to see how the bids go up and up! I wish I had that kind of money to play around with!

Everyone who comments on your blog sounds so friendly and a lot like me! I too, wash some things by hand and remember the fun times I had when my mother-in-law had company over. We women gathered in the kitchen afterwards to do dishes and gab! No dishwasher for her, but it was fun and a way to connect, in a way you can’t do nowadays with computers.

Can’t believe it is hot and humid in Carbondale! We are having a great day, low humidity and I have the house open! It actually was cool last night! Maybe you will get our weather tomorrow, hope so!

I’ll send pics of the kitchen when it gets finished. Keep your fingers crossed that it goes well tomorrow!

    1. HI Linda,
It’s probably the MOST fun for me to see the bids go up and up but I’m glad you enjoy it too!

I think I have the best subscribers on my blog. They ARE ALL friendly and it’s especially fun for me when they interact with each other! I love it!

We had a very nice morning without too much humidity, and even now, it’s hot and sticky outside but not like it has been. It’s supposed to be hot and sticky again tomorrow.
We certainly don’t have any windows open, but that sounds wonderful.

Yes, do send me some kitchen pics.. I love a good remodeling project…especially one that doesn’t involve me! ( just kidding!)
      Thanks Linda,
      Blessings, Jeanne

    1. HI Regina,
It was fun to sew something for Patsy again! She is a little Patriotic cutie, isn’t she?
      Thanks Regina,
      Blessings, Jeanne

  6. About that monkey? Where ever did you find it? The dress is absolutely lovely, but the monkey. Sweet.
