Not that I need a coin purse… but if I did…

I was browsing on Pinterest and a little coin purse caught my eye….then another, then another until I had so many to choose from I wasn’t sure which one was my favorite. I didn’t buy any… and don’t even know why I was looking them…. I think because they were just so cute! I’ll show you some of the ones I thought were absolutely adorable… There certainly are LOTS of talented people out there…

This first one had a broken link so I can’t tell you who it was made by… but isn’t it sweet?

Here’s another one…with fun embroidery on the fronts…the picture is kind of small, but if you click on the link below, you can see 4 of them in a much bigger size.

Embroidered Coin purses

How about this one…what a darling purse…

Sweet applique of girl and her mirror

How about a few more?

Here’s the link to this one below…

Coin purse or maybe a glasses case

This next one caught my eye…I’m very drawn to turquoise or duck egg blue fabrics… you’ll see why when you take a look at this one. It has already been sold on Etsy, but you can see her other things… by clicking the link below the picture.

Birdsong handmade bags

Here’s one with 2 kitties looking up…It was listed on Ebay and sold…but you can still see it…by clicking below the picture…

Cats looking up…

There are zillions more on Pinterest, if you wanted to take a look for yourself… just type in coin purse applique. If you don’t do Pinterest, do the same thing on Etsy… if Etsy’s not your thing, you could just google “coin purse applique” and then click on Images… you’ll have lots to look at…

See you tomorrow,
Blessings, Jeanne

Oh my! What darling choices you highlighted today. I don’t need a coin purse either but they certainly are tempting. A person certainly can lose a lot of time wandering around on the Internet looking at all the wonderful handmade goods out there. Hope you have a good day!
    Take care.

    • Hi Charlotte,
Yes, you can spend a lot of time “browsing” on Pinterest if you let yourself. I have to limit my time or I’d find something to look at all day long.
There certainly are crafts that appeal to everyone aren’t there? I love the crafts that use fabrics the most…
      Thanks Charlotte,
      Blessings, Jeanne

What sweet little coin purses, Jeanne! I guess my favorite one is the oblong one with the house. I wonder if that could also be a glasses case. Imagine seeing someone taking one of those out of her purse to find some coins while shopping!

We did have a very nice time this weekend in Branson, and the weather was just great, not too cold and not too warm, still needed a coat, but it was sunny and mild!

    • Hi Linda,
I’m guessing by the way this one is shaped it is a glasses case. I found several in this oblong shape and thought they must be. They are darling, aren’t they?
I’m so glad you wete able to get away to Branson. What kinds of places does your hubby like to go to? Is he a shopper?
      Thanks Linda,
      Blessings, Jeanne

      • Linda Doyle says:

Oh Jeanne, he shops with me in Branson all the time, and is so handy for carrying packages!! Now at home—–that’s another story! I’m usually by myself shopping, but when we go to Branson, he loves to go everywhere with me, as long as he gets to go to Bass Pro and Grizzly’s. We always stop in Springfield and spend an hour or two there, and usually have lunch too.

        • Hi Linda…
I think I have it….he’s afraid someone might recognize home but not in Branson!!! Sounds like you had a great time!

  3. …but – they would make 8WEET purses for your dollies! 🙂 (and, then, they want money to put inside them…and a trip to go shopping, and a place to put everything they buy….and a bed to lay down in after they get tired shopping, etc, etc, etc….. such is the life with dolls!)

    • Hi Mary,
I do like to make purses for my dolls and generally put some “cents” in them to give them some weight and hang right.
Just between you and me…I never let my girls go shopping! Instead of buying…we make!!!
      Thanks Mary,
      Blessings, Jeanne

  4. Very cute.
Okay, this started me on other uses for small coin purses. Great for: flashdrive, SD card, paper clips, chapstick/lipstick, that key you don’t want on your main ring, or that tiny dolly sewing kit. I personally just started putting those tiny end thingys to hold yarn on knitting needles so it doesn’t slip off in one.
Hope your week ahead has some Jeanne time allowed.

    • Hi Joy,
All your ideas for little purses makes me want to make one, but *alas*, I can’t right now. I love the ideas you shared though…
I hope to find some “Jeanne ” time too.
      Thanks Joy,
      Blessings, Jeanne

These little coin purses are just adorable! What fun it would be to pull one of these out every time you need a bit of change. Joy’s ideas for uses are great, too. The various designs make me smile, and they also remind me of the lovely little pouches/purses you made for your top buyers, Jeanne. Thanks for sharing your Pinterest “window shopping” with us. Wishing you and all your readers a good week!

    • Thank you Anne,
It would be fun to pull these coin purses out for everything imaginsble. They are so different and it would be the most fun to see the reactions of people and hear their vomments.
I enjoying sharing what I found with everyone and so glad everyone liked them.
      Thanks Anne,
      Blessings, Jeanne

  6. Your post with the laces from Cindy got me onto eBay and Etsy to take a look at lace edging. Then I started looking for lace with shamrocks for possible use with a St Patrick’s Day dress I’m making. I wouldn’t have thought to look for it without your blog. I did find a 43″ piece of white lace with shamrocks. I had also did a BIN for a St. Patrick’s Day handkerchief for an apron, so I’m set for a couple of years now of Irish dress embellishments. Thanks again for your suggestions for expanding my sewing possibilities.

    • Hi Susette,
It makes me so happy to know I helped someone discover their hidden talents and new found interest in sewing. You thrill me when you share with me all the things you are working on and the things you have made. You know we’ll want to see that St. Patricks day dress when you get it finished.
      Thanks Susette,
      Blessings, Jeanne

      • I’m thrilled (almost) speechless to think you’re looking forward to my next attempt. You know you’re my inspiration and thank you every time I pick up a needle or cut out a pattern for my renewed interest in sewing. Blessings to you, my dear friend, Jeanne.

    • Charlotte Trayer says:

Susette, I have two of those St. Patrick’s Day hankies, but I don’t cut them up and sew with them–I use them! It’s fun to carry a hankie to match the day. I have many Christmas and Valentine ones, plus the two St. Patrick’s Day ones. Never have found an Easter one, but I do have lots of them with flowers. I think I figured out one time that I have about 175 hankies, and I Always have one in my pocket, and one or two in my purse!! 😉

  7. It’s so inspiring to see how creative people are. I find so many pretty things on Pinterest. I don’t use a coin purse, but I really like that turquoise one. I think I have seen the metal closures at Michaels, but I haven’t bought any. I have enough hobbies right now!

    • Hi Carolyn,
I have too many irons in the fire too…I can’t take on anything else but I do like to give things a try!
I’ve seen those purse closures at places too… makes me want to get one next time I see one…
      Oh Carolyn, I’m hopeless!
      Blessings, Jeanne

Loved all the little purses, Jeanne–what a fun post!

I have a little Hawaiian girl purse that my college friend Jo sent me for my birthday one year–it’s so cute!

I loved reading Joy’s suggested uses for these little works of art–maybe I should put mine to use now!!
