No Power…No Post…

Our power has gone off 4 times today and just as I was loading my pictures it went off again. I am typing this on my phone. Sorry, but without power I can’t do a post…with pictures.
I had some fun things to share with you but I guess they will have to wait.

Have a wonderful Saturday. It’s pitch black in my house except for my phone so
I’m going to bed. It’s late anyway!

See you Monday,
Blessings, Jeanne

  1. Now this weather in Illinois is getting personal, even for your friends who don’t live there. I’m sure the linemen are out working hard on bringing the power back up. Stay warm and cozy today.

    1. Susette,
Our power IS back on…it came on sometime in the night. The warmer temps today has melted the ice on the trees. Yay!
I’m so sorry I couldn’t show you what I was working on but the extra time has let me keep going.
      Thanks,
      Blessings, Jeanne

  2. Yes, stay warm. I hope the power is back so that you can cook and sew and do all the other things you planned for today.

    1. Hi Marilyn,
My day did have some other plans, and I did manage to do them PLUS get some more done on Felicity’s dress.
The power came back on in the night sometime.
      Thanks so much,
      Blessings, Jeanne

  3. I’m here now, and we are iced in pretty much, but no power outage, thank heavens! I certainly hope that you have power now, Jeanne, or it could be a very boring, and cold day. Do you have a generator?

    1. Hi Linda,
We do have a generator but thankfully the power came on in the night. I had a few things I had to do today but still worked on Felicity’s dress. You should see it! It’s looking VERY Colonial. I’m loving it.
We are safe and warm and hope you are too.
      Blessings, Jeanne

  4. Hope your power has returned by now. Being without is no fun. Ours seems to go out pretty regularly even with living in town. Hope yours works differently than ours, because when we are without, we also have no heat. The gas heater has an electric ignition. Fortunately, we do have hot water. We haven’t burned wood in years because of pollution so that is not an option. It is also irritating that our neighbors across never lose power. They are on a different circuit. 🙁
    A friend is in Bangkok. It’s 89!

    1. Hi Joy,
Well, let’s start off with the good news…a new Felicity might be coming to your house? Yippee! I hope it’s true!
I also hope your power stays on…especially when the weather gets colder. Ours came back on the night. Yippee for us!
      Thanks so much,
      Blessings, Jeanne

  5. Hope you’re power becomes stable again. Sometimes it’s fun roughing it but only for a little bit. The fun wears off quickly as one runs into one disconnect after another.

    Hope the chickens are alright.
Take care, stay warm, so bundle up.

    1. Hi Paula,
The chickens have a heat lamp so they are toasty warm. They haven’t ventured out very much the last few days…
We are toasty warm too…and have power again.
      Thanks Paula,
      Blessings, Jeanne

  6. Assuming you were affected by the ice in that part of the Midwest…so sorry…here, north of you we have no ice (at this time)…sorry for the challenges.

    Blessings.

    1. Hi Becky,
Yes, we got the ice and have plenty of limbs down in the yard… our big pine trees out by the road are looking pretty pathetic. There are lots of branches missing.
But…today the temps warmed up and the ice is gone. Yay!
I got some sewing done today…yay again!
      Blessings, Jeanne
