My Christmas Card to YOU!

I heard on the radio Tuesday, if you wanted your Christmas cards to make it to their destinations, they needed to be mailed by Wednesday! W-E-L-L… it’s Thursday… so I’m sending this Christmas card to all my wonderful readers by “Blog Mail.” That just means you’ll all get the card at the same time with the same message, but just pretend it was specifically written for you, because if I had time, I would certainly send a card to each and every one of you!

Dear _____________ (fill in your name)
I would like to wish you the Merriest Christmas and hope you have had a wonderful year. I hope that next year is even better. I am so blessed to have all of you as readers of my blog and thank you from the bottom of my heart for all the encouragement, emails, cards, gifts, and friendship you have showered on me this past year.
I wish you all could have won a prize in the Giveaways I’ve had, and won a dress of mine in an auction, but I know that hasn’t happened. I do hope you have learned something, or tried something new as a result of reading each day. I hope everyone got at least one new doll this year! :o) (that’s always a good thing!) May your presents be in long boxes (shaped like dolls bodies) and may you have dolly dollars to spend on something fun this year.
Most of all, may you find the peace of the Lord in your hearts, and know just how very much He loves you!

Okay, so now I’m trying to think of all my doll pictures, which one best represents Merry Christmas…how about little Riley…

Merry Christmas Everyone,
See you tomorrow,
Blessings, Jeanne

P.S. Next week I plan to do a Recap of the dresses from 2016…so you won’t want to miss that. I have so many dresses it will probably be spread out over a few days…

  1. Oh, sweet little Riley!
Jeanne, you have given so much of yourself to others, now is the time to take care of yourself! Thank YOU for giving us such a wonderful way to start our day, each and every day.
As for a picture of my so called “fancy” cookies, well, there isn’t a picture of that! My idea of fancy is some sprinkles and maybe red hots!! Ha! I do have a cute idea I found on Pinterest for Red Velvet cupcakes, and I will take a picture when I make them. You put white icing on top, buy a little tube of black icing, make a curly swirl on the white icing, and put mini-M & M’s on the black icing, to look like colored light strands. Really cute, and easy too! Any kind of cupcake will do, even mini’s, but I’m not patient enough to fill all those little things!

    1. Hi Linda,
Having all of you out there is a great start to MY day too!
Just curious…when I went to Mail Chimp to get the list of my subscribers, I didn’t see your or Marilyn’s name, yet you comment almost every day. Do you just type in idreamofjeannemarie.com every morning? Just curious…
The cupcakes with the “lights” on top sounds so cute. ..what a gteat idea for the kiddies!
      Thanks Linda,
      Blessings and Merry Christmas,
      ~ Jeanne

      1. I type in “I” and the computer sends me straight to your blog. There aren’t a lot of sites I use regularly that begin with “I.”
Most mornings there’s an icon for your blog site and I can just click on that. I wondered why my name was the last on your list, and Linda’s second. Hmmm. With all those names, you spotted that ours were missing. I’m honored.

Merry Christmas to you and your family. They have all become parts of our lives. I wish all of you a Merry Christmas and a very rewarding New Year.

And to all the readers of your blog — Merry Christmas! And one of the best years ever.

        Marilyn

        1. Hi Marilyn,
When I want to get to my blog, I too, just type in the “I” and it pops up.
I was in bed when I remembered I hadn’t seen your names , so I picked up my phone and edited my post to add you both!
          Thanks so much,
          Blessings, Jeanne

      2. Jeanne, I don’t type anything in, your blog is in my email, just like if you would send me an email message. Don’t worry about it!

  2. Merry Christmas to you and your family!
May the new year bring you peace and prosperity.

  3. Thank you for the lovely Christmas wishes and for remembering us all. Hope you have a peaceful Christmas, Jeanne. Thank you for every post you’ve sent us over the past year. Merry Christmas and blessings to your wonderful family.

    1. Thank you Susette,
I just glanced at your email about the filter on the camera but will read it better later. Thanks for all your many kindnesses toward us this past year. I’m so glad you enjoy my posts…I’m so thrilled to have inspired you to start sewing again!
      Blessings and Merry Christmas,
      ~Jeanne

  4. This last year you were my “treat” for getting through my email that had to be read or deleted….THEN I could read your blog and admire whatever was the day’s subject . Love the sewing tips ( finally my skirt gathers look nice and even)..the accessories you add to your dresses…your sisters artistic talents…the occasional recipe..and even the sad days.
Hope this year will bring healing to your hubby…a job Rebecca will love…acceptance for your mom…and fun creative sewing time for you.
Merry Christmas and HAPPY New Year

    1. Thank you Kathie, for all the ways you have blessed me…little surprise gifts in the mail, sweet notes, encouraging words…they mean the world to me and are usually received on a timely day…which lets me know I am loved by my Heavenly Father.
Merry Christmas to you too, Kathie,
      Blessings, Jeanne

    2. Charlotte Trayer

I can attest to the evenness of the gathers in the skirts of her doll dresses! Kathie drew my name in our latest swap over on ning, and the dress she made for my Heather (L.D.) is gorgeous!!

      1. Hi Charlotte,
Even gathers is a great thing to know how to do. I better line up some new tips for the coming year!
        Thanks so much,
        Blessings, Jeanne

  5. Thank you for those Christmas/New Year wishes! I appreciate the effort that you put into keeping us ‘in the loop’ with your creativity! 🙂 I also hope that you and your family have a healthy/happy/prosperous 2017!

    1. Thank you Mary,
I hope to get back in the swing of things soon. When I can’t sew it feels like something is missing in my day.
Thanks so much for reading each day.
      Blessings, Jeanne

  6. A very Merry Christmas to you, Jeanne and to all your family. I have so enjoyed reading your blog each day and seeing all the wonderful dresses you create. Looking forward to enjoying them next year.
Riley looks so sweet in her little dress with the mantel scene.
May the Lord bless you in the year ahead.
I want to wish all the other readers a Merry Christmas as well. I enjoy chatting with you and some of you (Linda) I’ve gotten to know better through email.
Tonight We’re watching of “It’s a Wonderful Life”. It’s usually the last watched Christmas movie of the year.

    1. HI Laura,
I am so glad to have you as part of my little blog family! I love to see what you have to say after I’ve written something. You know doll history much better than me and we all learn things from you that we didn’t know before!
I hope you have a very Merry Christmas with your family and enjoy It’s a Wonderful Life… my FAVORITEST movie!
      Thanks Laura,
      Blessings, Jeanne

  7. Charlotte Trayer

I’ve learned how to make petticoats for my Little Darlings by reading your blog! I made one to go with a swap outfit this year, and a softer one (less tulle) to go under the smocked dress I entered in the fair. One of my “other” 13″ dolls (a Faith and Friends) did the modeling, as I don’t leave my LD’s unattended!

I wish you and yours a blessed and happy Christmas, and a new year filled with good health and joy!

    1. Thank you so much Charlotte,
I look forward to sharing new things with you this coming year. As a 4H judge, I didn’t think there would be anything I could teach you…
      Thanks for the compliment.
      Blessings, Jeanne
