Merry Christmas….

I’ve been thinking for weeks about what I’d like to post on Christmas Day. I looked at quotes and cute little pictures on Pinterest. I looked at Christmas cards that had pretty illustrations on them and beautifully written with calligraphy. I thought about lots of things and in the midst of all my thinking, my eyes caught a glimpse of the Nativity Set that we have out on our buffet. My mom collected pieces for us kids and gave us new ones every Christmas. My husband built the stable and we’ve been displaying it for years and years. As I looked at it, the Italian figurines weren’t what I was drawn to; it was the real meaning of it all… Jesus coming to earth in the form of a tiny little innocent baby so He could grow up to become the King of Kings. He is the hope for everyone and if you don’t know Him, I hope you’ll find room for Him in your heart this coming year.

I hope you have a wonderful Christmas filled with peace, joy and lots of love!

See you tomorrow,

  1. Of all your wonderful finds and decorations, I was most curious about the manger scene. I’m so glad to hear about your mother giving you one piece at a time. Lovely memories. Thanks for sharing with us.

    1. HI Susette,
I was going to put it in my post of My Favorite Things, but decided I might use it in another post, so I didn’t, but it IS one of my favorite things!
I hope you have a wonderful day today!
      Blessings, Jeanne

  2. Merry Christmas to you and all your blog followers. The rain and snow have just started here. It looks like it will be icy here in Boulder tomorrow, but I can stay home and be warm and keep working on my housekeeping project.
You’d love the nativity scene at our church. There are at least two, but the one near the altar is clearly the result of years of collecting.
    All the best,
    Marilyn

    1. Merry Christmas Marilyn,
I hope you are having a nice Christmas in spite of the weather. Maybe you could send me a picture of your nativity. I am up to my eyeballs on party planning again.
      Stay safe and warm…
      Blessings, Jeanne
