Kirsten’s Christmas dress is almost finished…

I just wanted to let you all know that Kristen is next up to model her Christmas dress. I’ve been working like crazy to get it finished as quickly as I can and spent most of the day making some headway, but I’m still not totally finished. I thought I’d show you a few snippets of it, and hope you’ll come back tomorrow to see it completed. The days are zipping along pretty fast and I’ve got to make several more dresses to get through my dolly dress list. If I’m going to get a Christmas dress made for each doll, I can’t take as many pictures as I go along… so I’ll just post a few and then the finished dress.

If you happen to need a new Christmas dress for Kirsten, you really might want to consider this one. It looks B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L!!! I am in love with it!! I always enjoy sewing for Kirsten because you can use lots of coordinated fabrics and pull together a fun dirndl for her. So, without any more hesitation, here are a few teaser pictures that I hope will lure you back tomorrow.

This was my inspiration pile…

  1. I really like all the different patterns you can put together on Kirsten. As she was my daughter’s first Pleasant Company doll we have a real soft spot for her. The bonnet looks adorable with the ruffle and all. Can’t wait to see it completed.

    1. HI Laura,
I know… putting together coordinating fabrics is so much fun to do when working on a Kirsten dress. This was a fun one to do…
It won’t be long till you’ll see it.

  2. OH, that is going to be a gorgeous dress, Jeanne! I am so partial to outfits like these, not the sparkly, princess dresses you see now. I am from a different time I guess, I love the classic, tailored look that is timeless. I love red on Kirsten, especially on the holidays. That bonnet is going to be adorable!

Just got in from raking leaves, gosh, it is never ending! I want to get the Christmas things up and leaves all over the place just doesn’t do it!

    1. Hi Linda,
Thanks for the vote of confidence…even before the dress is shown…
I’m with you on the “more classic” dresses and not so much the glam ones… not my style.

We’re going to be raking soon…not leaves so much, they are all blown off our trees and mulched up…but we have a million, and I do mean a million gum balls on our sweet gum tree. When they all drop it’s going to be horrible.

My hubby has a bad cold and all my Christmas things are in tubs up in the top of the garage…so I can’t get them. I have to work on our Married Couple’s Christmas party this Thursday, anyway, so no decorating for me till after Thursday.

Well, I better go… I’ve got to count out some candy for them to guess how many pieces are in the jar and make my favors… plus bake some cookies for the treat bags and make some chocolate cookie bark…
      Thanks Linda,
      blessings, Jeanne
