I’ve been BUSY and you’ll be happy….

I have been busy…YES, I have! Guess what I’ve been working on? GLOVES! It’s been forever since I made any new gloves and put them in my Etsy shop…but I have some in there now! 9 new pairs in fact! You can click on the mini pictures at the right side bar, or you can click HERE to be transported to the shop… I know I should have had gloves made a while back but if you buy anything today, I’ll do my best to get them shipped out today and on their way to you for Easter… They just might make it on time!

I just ordered some new lace too…it’s 1/2″ narrower than this lace, so it will make a little bit daintier gloves. I hope it works out. I have white and pink coming.

Rebecca has made about a dozen new necklaces and I’m hoping to get them listed too!

Here are a few examples of the ones I made:

I’ll let you check out the rest by visiting our Etsy shop…

I’m going to try and get some slips and some thigh highs in there too… so be watching for them…

Well, we had a long day today…9 hours at the treatment center and I’m very tired myself, so I’m heading to bed…

See you tomorrow,
Blessings, Jeanne

  1. Oh the gloves are lovely! They could be the perfect accessory. Rebecca’s earrings are so pretty. The pearl ones remind me of something I would have seen on Downton Abbey.
Hope you got some good rest last night and have a good day today.
    Take care.

    1. HI Charlotte,
Thanks for the compliments on my gloves and Rebecca’s earrings… She loves to bead as much as I love to sew!
I did get some rest last night…
      Blessings, Jeanne

  2. Some of the gloves are white and some are cream. Great idea. And Charlotte is right about the pearl earrings. Very Downton. So are the amber ones — nicely 20s. I’m so glad you’ve had a chance to restock the shop.
It’s been quite gray but it looks more cheerful now, so we may get some gardening in. I have some amazing yellow iris, a gift from a neighbor, and it’s starting to grow. How are the chickens?

    1. HI Marilyn,
Actually all of the gloves I made yesterday are white… some just look ivory. I’ll tell in the descriptions if they are ivory or not…
It is almost hot here today… it’s 74 but the humidity is up so I was sweating while I was out to mail my packages at the Post Office.
The chicks are growing… George just created a new way for them to drink… instead of having it in a jar, which they get so messy. He took a coffee can and screwed these little nipples in the bottom of it. It has a silver rod that comes out the bottom. When the chicks just touch the silver rod, water trickles down and they get water that way.. super cool if you ask me… They learned how to do it in 3 minutes… maybe it’s instinct! :o)
      Thanks, Jeanne

  3. Beautiful gloves and jewelry, Jeanne! I especially love the ones with the little pink buttons. I have the ones with pearl and black buttons, so think those pink ones would look so sweet on somebodyI know! Are those in cream lace? I would also love to see you make lacy stockings too! Hint, hint!
I hope you are rested up for today and George is doing well. Give him my very best wishes as you go through this Holy Week together!

    1. HI Linda,
All of the gloves shown right now are in white lace, but I do have it in cream… I’ll have to make a batch of cream ones, I guess. I’m planning on getting some thigh highs made soon…

George is resting today… he was wiped out from yesterday. Thank you for the Easter Card… The glittered eggs on the front make it absolutely one of the prettiest cards I have ever seen. I just love it! Instead of doing lots of the heavy work this week, our Pastor called this morning and asked if George and I could be greeters after our service. We are having a picnic and they wanted us to be there to greet everyone until it all gets set up.
I hope you have a wonderful and peaceful week too,
      Blessings, Jeanne

  4. Lovely work as always.
A new little one has come to our house. Little Effner Boneka Julie, Monday’s Child. I like her very much. Wouldn’t you know that her shoe size is smaller than the Tonner 10er group. So it looks like we’ll need to purchase some just for her. Any idea which other dollies may share the same size? I think it is 38mm. Have you made thigh highs/socks for your Tuesday’s Child? I believe that the days of the week dolls vary in size also. 🙁
Hope you are well rested today and that George feels ok. Thinking of you guys.

    1. Hi Joy,
Congratulations on your new little Julie! Did you win her off Ebay? My little Noel inherited Bitty Bethany’s shoes… but I’m not sure what size they were… JujusDollyMall is where I probably bought them long ago. Marley wears a size 38mm, but I’m not sure if you’d like any of her style shoes.
I did make some thigh high’s for Noel…
The dolls do vary in size…sometimes up to 1/2″ difference.
I did some errands and came home to find him sleeping…he’s still asleep…
      Thanks so much, Joy,
      Blessings, Jeanne

      1. I got Julie from someone on one of the facebook groups. She arrived here very rapidly from Canada no less. Took the red eye from Chicago and was at my door the next morning. I looked at Marley shoes, but they are a bit pointy and may not fit. No Bitty here, just a Riley but I’ll look for Bitty shoes. Thanks so much. I was surprised at how much taller Julie is than my Tonner 10ers. But her feet are shall I say, more delicate. My Maru Chad is due here end of the month. His feet are a bit larger than the Little Darlings. Darn. Thanks for the info! Looks like I’ll be spending a lot on shoes.

  5. Your gloves are just charming, Jeanne. So feminine, and such a delicate final touch to any dolly outfit. Rebecca’s jewelry is lovely, too, and her pieces would make wonderful gifts for Easter, Mother’s Day and beyond. Some lacy thigh highs and a variety of your sweet slips would make nice additions to your shop. You know your slips are my weakness, so I WILL watch for them!

Nine hours is a long time at the spa. I hope the rest of this week will bring you and George some much deserved rest and recuperation, along with an adequate amount of sewing time for you, Jeanne. Blessings to you both during this special week of remembrance and celebration!

    1. HI Anne,
Thanks for your compliments on the gloves and other things in our store. Rebecca has more for ladies..and “actually” sold a blue necklace this morning. It’s been shipped off to the new owner! I need to designate a day just for Etsy each week… for making and listing… :o)

Yes, 9 hours at the spa and I still look the same… :o) Of course, I wasn’t the patient, but still…. you’d think something would rub off on me! :o)
      Thanks Anne,
      Blessings to you this week,
      ~ Jeanne

  6. If there’s anything you don’t want, it’s any of this spa’s treatment wearing off on you. One patient per family is more than enough.
The chicken watering fountain sounds interesting. I’m now more interested in pictures than before.
