How about some Christmas doll dresses?

If I counted correctly, there are only 45 days left till Christmas…YIKES! I know, I know, we shouldn’t be talking about Christmas until after Thanksgiving, but with all my Christmas dresses I’d like to share, I’ll run out of time if I don’t get started now. It’s always fun to make “specialty” dresses because you can use those fabrics that you “can’t” any other time of the year. You can use silver and gold trimmed fabrics and it doesn’t seem “too much.” Many Christmas’s have passed since I began sewing for my/your dolls, and I’ve had every combination of dress you can imagine, so without any more talking… how about some Christmas doll dresses?

The first 3 dresses were a series of crushed and burn out velvet ones for the American Girl dolls…

This red sweater for Bitty Bethany was a Knitted Christmas ornament. I split it down the back, faced it and it worked perfectly.

Riley and An Mei look pretty cute for Christmas all dressed up too…

…and Nyssa finishes us out today in her green crushed velvet dress. I always loved this one on her with her red wig…*sigh*

  1. Thanks for including the Kish dolls. Love the Bitty Bethany outfit, I have 3 in that size
and No Christmas dresses. Gjuess I have to get busy. An Mei is adorable and looks so cute in the outfit that you made her. Great work!

    1. Good morning Sylvia,
I’m glad you liked Bitty Bethany in her Christmas sweater. I have LOTS of pictures of my Bitty Bethany, but not too many for Christmas… you’ll see more of her in the future.
      Thanks for taking a peek,
      Blessings, Jeanne

  2. Jeanne, those first 3 dresses are so pretty and timeless! They remind me of Molly’s Christmas that she had in her collection. I have that one, and it is by far the BEST dress in the AG line as far as I’m concerned! It sure beats all those sequin covered outfits. Of course, I’m from a different time—-a long ago time!!
That picture of Riley, is just adorable, and could possibly be a Christmas card! And Nyssa’s dress is darling too—-well, I’d better stop before I add too much!

    1. Morning Linda,
I have so much crushed velvet, it’s crazy.. I know “someone” who needs to get busy!!! I’m like you, forget the sequins… just give me a simple pretty dress!
So glad you enjoyed today’s dresses… there’ll be more to come in the coming weeks.
      Blessings, Jeanne

    1. Hi Judi,

  3. Pretty Christmas dresses.. I think An Mei is just the cutest. It’s funny my Ann Estelle/Patsy group just posted photos of AE wearing Christmas tree ornament sweaters. Now everyone is on the hunt for sweaters to use..so clever!

    1. HI Regina,
On the Little Darlings doll forum, the ladies were all buzzing about the “wine bottle sweaters” from Kohl’s that were a perfect fit the dolls… I haven’t made it there yet to check them out, but I saw some cute ones shown on the discussion board.
      Thanks Regina,
      Blessings, Jeanne
