How about a “partial” reveal of Patsy Tonner’s dress…

I am always disappointed when my day doesn’t go as I had planned, and today was one of those days. I worked like crazy trying to get Patsy’s dress finished so I could share the “reveal” with you all. As you can see, Regina picked the pink and white tiny floral print…as did MANY of you! I did manage to get the dress done, but the hat isn’t decorated, the slip I made was too long and stuck out below the dress just a little too much, the sash at the waist didn’t get finished, and there is no “accessory” YET, so I’m calling this a “partial reveal.” Patsy wanted to model it for you so I told her she could…

You were all so kind to pick your favorites and comment on the other fabrics… I do believe I have a few things already lined up for Patsy in the near future. Several ladies want to see something in the bright pink and white polka dot print fabric and a few were very intrigued with the mouse print… One lady even recognized it and said she had made a dress from that exact same print for her daughter for her first day of kindergarten… Side note: Her daughter is now 37 years old! I thought that was incredible! I haven’t had my mouse fabric for quite that long, but I’ve always been hesitant to cut it since it’s so unique.

I have company coming tomorrow night for dinner and since I spent much of today working on this dress, I’ll have to do my housecleaning and my cooking tomorrow. I’m not 100% sure I’ll have the dress finished for a “final reveal” and listed on Ebay for my next post… but I can always try…

So without any more chit chat…here is Patsy…

  1. What a dainty little dress for Patsy! I love the print itself, and the way you made the bodice with that delicate piece of lace, Jeanne! I can’t get over how you manage to sew those teensy dresses so that they fit perfectly!

    1. HI Linda,
It IS about as dainty of fabric as there is… almost like tissue paper. Patsy is thrilled with it. Too bad she doesn’t know how short of a time she’ll get to wear it…
      Thanks Linda,
      Blessings, Jeanne

  2. Jeanne, I love it! Just as I imagined you would create a sweet and lovely dress with this fabric. Can’t wait for the final reveal!

    1. YAY Regina….
I’m so happy you “approved” of Patsy’s dress…even in this stage… She’s dancing on my cutting table this morning!
      Blessings, Jeanne

  3. The beads and embroidery make the bodice extra special. Patsy’s dress is looking very pretty so far. I’m sorry your day didn’t go as planned, Jeanne. 🙁

    1. HI Cindy,
My day just had too many interruptions to it… that’s all…I’m sure everyone has those kind.
      Thank you so much,
      Blessings, Jeanne

    1. Thank you Christine,
I appreciate you looking at Patsy’s dress. She likes it too!
      Blessings, Jeanne

  4. Love the dress. It is so sweet and feminine. The bodice is beautiful. That is the material I liked the most next to the pink print shown next to this material in the pictures yesterday. Hope your day is a good one. Blessings.

    1. Thank you Paula,
I think it’s a very feminine dress too…and Patsy just loves it. That’s what counts. Gotta keep those girls happy!
My day is already good…lots of nice comments!
      Blessings, Jeanne

  6. Jeanne this is so perfect already Miss Patsy looks adorable in it. Poor Patsy does not want it to be sold . But she’ll get a new one soon

    1. Hi Lynn,
Yes, Patsy will get something else soon… with all the ideas from everyone about the other fabrics that I showed, she will certainly have something new to look forward to.
      Thanks so much Lynn,
      Blessings, Jeanne
