Giveaway Number 2…

This first section is the same as yesterday…

It’s almost here…the anniversary of the day I started writing this blog. In honor of my 1st anniversary on August 1st, I am planning to have a week of giveaways. The way it will work is, each day this week, I will show you something either my daughter Rebecca or I have made. If it is something you might like to try and win, just LEAVE A COMMENT at the bottom of my blog on the day that item is featured. You can also send me an email and leave a comment too. It doesn’t have to be a long comment…just a comment. (Today’s post will run from 12:00 a.m. (midnight) Tuesday morning until 12:00 a.m. (midnight) Wednesday morning. (Central Time Zone, IL)

[I just did a post on how to navigate my website a few days ago. If you get my blog post through your email with the blue title, you can click on the blue title and it will take you straight to my website. The comments can be left at the bottom. That is actually the easiest way to read it or leave a comment.]

***!!!*** I have a new feature on my blog…a SEARCH box! You can type in whatever you like and if that word is mentioned in a post I wrote, it will pull up all the posts where it was mentioned. I think you’ll like this new feature…I had to try it out myself and it’s pretty fun!

[If you click on any picture, it will enlarge.]

Yesterday the Giveaway was for a pair of my American Girl Fingerless gloves. I had 17 people leave comments…so I wrote everyone’s names on a piece of paper, turned them over, and I shuffled the names…

In today’s Giveaway, I’m not featuring something for your dolls, but for YOU! It’s not something I made, but the jeweler of our house, my daughter, Rebecca, made them. She’s been making doll necklaces for me for a few years that I add to my doll dresses and she also sells them in our Etsy shop. She is a very good jewelry maker and has been since she was 13. She taught herself and has a really pretty style. She’s usually got plenty to pick from in our Etsy shop, but this has been a busy semester in college for her and she hasn’t been beading as much as she’d like. If you want you can check out our Etsy shop HERE.

Okay, so it’s not a doll necklace today, but a pair of earrings for YOU! She wasn’t sure exactly what style you all might like so she came up with the idea of making 4 pairs of earrings and the winner will receive the pair that they comment on. So look at these and see which one you like best and make a comment on it. We can just call them the teardrop pearls, the pink cubes, the amber squares and the round black and white floral ones. I hope there is something here you might like to wear or even give as a gift.
The pink and black and white ones are sterling silver plated and the gold ones are hypoallergenic and nickle free.

Okay, so which ones will you be commenting on?
I’ll let you know the winner tomorrow…

See you tomorrow for Giveaway number 3!

    1. HI Karen,
I’m glad you like them all, but could you please pick you favorite, so if you are the winner, I can show which ones you chose?
      Thanks so much,
      Blessings, Jeanne

  1. They are all very pretty, but I would have to say that I like the black and white the best!

    1. HI Regina,
Thanks so much! The black and white ones ARE very pretty… inside the faceted part, it actually looks like a little pink rose… Good choice!
      Blessings, Jeanne

  2. It has taken me awhile to figure out what I like best, but I think now it might be the amber squares. My daughter wears earrings all the time, and loves long, dangles. I wish I knew how long they were, Jeanne, but they all are very pretty and well made!

    1. Hi Linda,
I meant to put the length on them but I forgot. The amber square earrings are a total 2″ long from the curved top of the ear wire to the very bottom. Another way to describe them is they are 1″ from the top of the amber square to the bottom dangles. I hope this helps.

I made a double batch of pickles last night and can’t wait to eat them! YUMMY!

      Thanks Linda,
      Blessings, Jeanne

  3. Hard time to pick! I think the last one Black and White ones. Hard to choose!
    She does a great job.

    1. Thank you Sylvia,
You are the second one to like the black and white ones… Yes, my daughter does make great jewelry.
      Blessings, Jeanne

  4. Your daughter is so talented, and has great eye for design. I love the way the earrings were put together. The choice of beads to set off the main ones is just wonderful. However, as I don’t have pierced ears – I will sit this one out. Thanks.

    1. Oh LouiseG,
I’m so sorry about not having pierced ears… you don’t know anyone you could give them to? If you think of someone, you can let me know on here…
She is very talented and I’m so happy to have her making necklaces for my dolls.
      Blessings, Jeanne

  5. While they are all lovely, I must say the pearl ones are exquisite. I had a similar pair of earrings long ago ~ a favorite pair ~ I don’t know what happened to them but how nicely these would replace them! I am new to your blog and website and am amazed at the talent exhibited here!

    1. HI Lisa,
Thanks so much Lisa, for all your kind words. I’m thrilled that you found my blog and hope you continue to enjoy reading it.
I’ll put your name in for the vintage pearl earrings…
      Blessings, Jeanne

  6. Love all the earrings! But, the first two pairs are my favorites as I love the brown/amber, but then pearls are always classic. A big thank you to Rebecca for participating as well.

    1. HI Maureen,
Well, if you are the winner, you’ll have to pick one of those 2 pairs…so do you have a favorite of the two? Just let me know…
      Blessings, Jeanne

    1. HI Deb,
Glad you chimed in… and I knew which ones you’d like! I’ve got the black and white ones down for you!
Blessings and love to you, Jeanne

  7. All the earring pairs are beautiful. I especially like the amber ones. They remind me of the type worn in the late 1800’s even though they are a popular style worn today also. What girl doesn’t like a jewel bobbling in the light!

    Blessings!

    1. HI Paula,
Thanks so much for commenting on the amber earrings. They are lovely, aren’t they? I’ve got your name added to the drawing…
      Blessings, Jeanne

  8. The earrings are lovely, but I especially like the black and white pair. Thanks for a wonderful blog.

    1. HI Jane,
Thanks so much for the comments… I’ve got your name down with the black and white pair beside it… Thanks for reading my posts each day!
      Blessings, Jeanne

  9. All all very beautiful, and your daughter is very talented at jewelry designing! Of the four, my favorite is the pearl drop earrings. I love that they have vintage glass beads. I love vintage jewelry! I have several pairs of earrings made from vintage 1800’s buttons purchased at a quilt show. Love them!

    1. HI Karen,
Thanks so much for your kind compliments on my daughter’s jewerly… she does make some lovely things.
So you like the vintage pearl drop earrings? I’ve got your name down for them…
      Thanks,
      Blessings, Jeanne

  10. Rebecca does a good job making jewelry…everything is so neat and all her findings are put on so straight! I think my favorite one is the black and white ones..love the bits of green showing inside the bead.

    1. Hi Kathie,
Yes, Rebecca does make very nice, quality jewelry! The black and white earrings are neat…the inside of the faceted bead almost looks like a rose on the inside.
I’ve got your name added to the drawing…
      Blessings, Jeanne

  11. Diana Jenness

My favorites are the black and white ones. Your daughter is very talented.
