Free Shipping on Ten Ping and her friends from Lone Star Dolls…

When I was considering getting a little 8″ Ten Ping doll, I had no idea where to find out more information about her. I had seen her pictures, but didn’t have a clue what stores carried her or even how much she cost. Having quite a few questions about her, I emailed Ruby Red Galleria and they were pretty good about answering my questions. A new 6th edition of Ten Ping was coming out soon and they told me to check their site for U.S. Dealers who would be selling her. Looking over all the dealers, I happened to choose Lone Star Dolls in Texas, and gave them a call. I spoke with the owner of the shop, Dale, and we had a very nice visit on the phone. She answered all my questions and before the end of the conversation, I was on a list to get one of the dolls as soon as they came in. The dolls arrived and Dale let me know they had been inspected and she was sending out my little Ten Ping. She arrived 2 days later and I was thrilled.

Since I make clothes for the dolls and sell them, it wasn’t long until Ten Ping was stripped and sitting naked until I finished her some new outfits.

I have been in contact with Dale a few times since then and wrote a review for Ten Ping on her website. She is a very pleasant store owner and a few days ago I received another email from her letting me know she had just gotten pictures of 2 new girls from Ruby Red Galleria.
One is Ishara and the other is Jar-Lu; both friends of Ten Ping. They run $219.00 apiece. Ten Ping, Ishara and Jar Lu are all the same sculpt, but painted differently to achieve different looks.

Another friend of Ten Ping’s is Gigi, a totally new sculpt. Dale only has a few Gigi’s, a few Ten Ping 8th Editions, but several of the 7th edition Ten Pings. Ten Ping and Gigi run $229.00 each.

  1. Oh my, I love Ishara! The new Jar-Lu is too cute..since I have Jar-Lu and Ten Ping, I just may have to have Ishara. Thanks for the info on these adorable dolls.

    1. HI Regina,
You are really getting into these little cuties, aren’t you? They are super fun to pose aren’t they? You are so welcome and you’ll have to let me know if you get Ishara…
      Blessings, Jeanne

      1. Hi Jeanne, yes I get a little obsessed about dolls sometimes. Lol Check on Denver Doll Emporium site they have a few more pictures of Ishara.

  2. Jeanne, I know you have wanted an Ishara but this one isn’t dressed anything like the first one; she doesn’t have that Indian look. Is she as appealing to you as the first one?
Nice of Dale to offer the free shipping.

    1. HI Jevne,
I have to admit I was a little disappointed in Ishara this version. I guess I was thinking she’d look just like the “Guardian of Fortune” one and when she looked different, I didn’t know what I thought. I knew she would be in a different outfit but you are right, she doesn’t have that Indian look that stole my heart the first time around. Dale said if she got any clearer pics she’d send me one… maybe that would help.
      Thanks Jevne,
      Blessings, Jeanne

    1. HI Jan,
Yes, Ten Ping is such a little cutie. Mine is still laying down on her bench…naked with just her rose suede shoes on. Poor little girl!

  3. I ordered Ten Ping directly from RRG. She is sweet. I got # 7. I liked yours so much Jeanne that I wanted to try sewing for her. We will have to see how far I get. Kathleen

    1. HI Kathleen,
You’re going to love her and she really isn’t that hard to sew for. You can do a lot with just one simple pattern. You’ll have to let me see what you come up with.
      Blessings, Jeanne

  4. OK…now they did it…Gigi is adorable and sweet and is not sad! What a pleasant little look on her face. I’m soooo tempted but have to save $ for the Convention in July. Hummm maybe later this year!

  5. Nice blog and chatter. I have Ishara from Lone Star (very nice dealer) and she sits with her original clothes on. I don’t have any patterns and I can’t do a think without a pattern. Actually, I tend to not do a thing, so buy clothes–very costly I notice. The clothes are so originally assembled, patterns I would not have put together, but it all comes out so cute. And the detail is very good. I do love what clothes you have made. The idea of fraying the edges of the fabric for the hemline, very cute. Thanks for sharing.
