Everyone has had a Charlie Brown Christmas tree… haven’t they?

When we were first married, things were tight, money wise, so the Christmas trees we got were a little on the puny side! Not to fret… a few ornaments and some mini lights makes any tree look better. Here’s a couple of our Charlie Brown trees…

A few years later, we put our tree up on a table to make it seem taller…

Did you have a Charlie Brown Christmas tree too?

See you tomorrow,

  1. Oh yes, we had a Charlie Brown tree! Our first Christmas out of the Army, we had really not much at all. I was teaching school, and each room had their own Christmas tree, and they were real trees. So, after class ended on December 23rd, I brought home the sad looking tree with all the paper ornaments on it and we used that tree for our first real one! By the time I got it, it was already pretty dried out and shedding all over, but we thought it was just wonderful! I’m sure it was a pretty sad looking tree, because we took it down 2 days later, but at least we had a tree!
Jeanne, you looked so young in that picture, maybe 12 or so!! Your trees weren’t at all that bad. I would guess they were real? While I would love a real tree, it just won’t work for me now, since I put them up and decorate too early for them to look good by Christmas.

    1. HI Linda,
I bet your tree was charming that first year! I remember making paper chains for the trees too, after my kids got bigger. 12? Are you kidding? I was a whopping 25!
Yes, our trees were real… I don’t remember where we got them, but probably from my hubby’s family farm. We have an artificial tree that was given to us a few years ago, and although I would LOVE a real one, it just doesn’t work for us either… and it’s cheaper too… every year it’s already paid for!
I hope your Christmas was wonderful! Are you getting rain now? We are…
Thanks again for telling me about your Charlie Brown tree…
      Blessings, Jeanne
