American Girl Molly in some past Fourth of July dresses…

[OOPS…sorry about the delay for this post… apparently I was so tired last night, I forgot to hit the “publish” button after I wrote my post.]

First of all, thank you to everyone who said a prayer for the yard sale our church was having today! Yesterday was quite the disaster with the weather we had. You can read about it HERE. Anyway today was very hot, VERY humid but it was dry. We only got sprinkled on for about 2 minutes. I am so tired and am going to bed as soon as get this post done. I got your comments all answered… late…but answered, and I thank you for your kind words! I love reading what you all think.

Okay, I’m feeling myself reel on the computer chair, so I better get this post going. Not having any time to write about anything else, I decided to pick a few Fourth of July dresses from the archives for Molly and show them to you. I hope you enjoy seeing them.

From 2007, Molly wore this on the Fourth of July:

Here is another set I made for her in 2007:

Here’s what Molly wore to the fireworks in 2008:

Okay…it’s time for me to say goodnight. I started my day with Ibuprofen and plan on ending it with the same…

See you tomorrow,
Blessings, Jeanne

Jeanne, I think I could feel your aches & exhaustion through your words. I hope you were able to get a good night’s sleep. Sound sleep !

So onto Molly and her 4th of July outfits. Molly is my favorite I will admit, but dress in her Red, White & Blue and I am in heaven. Everyone of those outfits is super wonderful. It was fun to see what you have done in the past, year by year. You have gotten me fired up to make my Molly something patriotic to wear on the coming 4th !!

      HI Jeannie,
I did get some rest last night and I’m planning on a nap in a little bit too! I’m hoping by tomorrow I’m back to almost normal. I have a bridal shower outside in my gazebo on Tuesday, but the weather forecast is for 60% chance of rain on Tuesday, so I need to get the inside all spiffed up as well, just in case.

I know lots of my ladies LOVE Molly so it was fun for me to showcase her in her Fourth of July dresses. I hope you make the perfect patriotic dress for your Molly!
      Thanks Jeannie,
      Blessings, Jeanne

Jeanne, your blog wasn’t here when I got up around 3, so I was a bit worried about the yard sale! It’s here now, but I hope you rest up today!!

Like Jeannie B., Molly is my favorite too! She was my first AG doll and continues to be the leader of the pack! I love that first dress especially because it looks like something I would have worn to school! Then again, I love the cute sailor outfit too, well, they ALL are so cute! I really like red, white and blue on Molly all year round! She’s quite a patriotic girl!

      HI Linda,
I didn’t catch my mistake on not posting my blog until early this morning when I picked up my ipad beside my bed and looked to see if it was on correctly… when it wasn’t there, that’s when I realized I had it scheduled for 8pm tonight… oops!

I knew you loved Molly and I knew you’d like seeing her dresses for the 4th.
Molly is very patriotic and she does look good in red, white and blue colors. Happy to indulge you into the past with her 1940’s dresses.
      Thanks so much Linda,
      Blessings, Jeanne

  3. It is unusual for me to see a doll of yours in slacks/pants so I’m taken with Molly in her whites with red buttons.

    • Jeanne W says:

      HI Jan,
Yes, I don’t make pants for my dolls very often. In fact, I could probably name on both hands the number of outfits with pants that I’ve made. I like dresses…in case you couldn’t tell.
      blessings, Jeanne
