A sneak peek at Noel’s debut dress…

I debated and debated about whether or not to show you the finished dress set for Noel or do one of those “teasers” I sometimes do when I want you to guess what the dress looks like. I couldn’t stand it and just have to show you how cute this new little 10″ Boneka doll is. I had a wonderful time making this dress set and then the photo session went long. I looked at the number of pictures I had taken… 89…and then narrowed it down to 18! That was very hard to do… I even called my hubby back to the computer to show him how photogenic Noel is.

I guess you’d probably like to see what I mean… I’ve decided to pick out my 5 favorites from the 18 that will be in my Ebay listing and show you here, but if you’d like to see the entire auction, you can click HERE.

Here’s one just for starters to show how adorable Noel is… I found a light minty green bear in my Dolly Toy Box and Noel grabbed her for her “accessory!”

(If you click on any picture it will enlarge.)

I had to make a slip to hold her dress out and Noel wanted a blue one… pretty cute in it, isn’t she?

I made a pair of white thigh highs and gave her a sweet muffin hat to top the whole ensemble off.

I’m loving this little girl and she’s only been here just a few days! Much more to come…

See you tomorrow,
Blessings, Jeanne

  1. Darling, Jeanne! Noel is so sweet in every which way, and that outfit certainly suits her! The slip is special, love the soft blue color, and how it makes her dress stand out. The colors of the dress are so spring-like and sweet, how can you go wrong with it? The little muffin hat fits the bill and I just know you have a winner here!

Don’t you love this weather we’re having?

    1. Thank you Linda,
I’m kinda partial to her too! She has satisfied my “dolly fever” and I think I’m over it for now! I appreciate your kind comments about her dress and slip. She’s in heaven right now!

YES… I love this weather…It’s 58 degrees right now and supposed to get up to 70! Yikes, the fruit trees might bud out and then we’ll be in big trouble when the frost hits… if it does!
      Thanks Linda,
      Blessings, Jeanne

  2. What a beautiful ensemble. The slip is so pretty with its little pink bow. Then the little pink bow theme continues on her dress and that darling little hat.
Noel is a natural model. She has such expression in her little face.
    Take care.

    1. HI Charlotte,
Yes, she is a little cutie pie, isn’t she? She might have to wear blue every time! :o)
Thanks so much for your sweet thoughts, Charlotte,
      Blessings, Jeanne

    1. HI Anne,
Oh, that’s another good name for a dress… Pretty as a Picture! I’ll have to save that one too!
      Thank you ,

  3. Noel is a beautiful sculpt.. your photos bring out her charm:)
The soft pink and blue tones of yhe fabric are especially complimentary with her skintone!
You have a real winner all around!

    1. Thank you Shara,
I think she might look good in a potato sack, but we’ll stick with pretty little dresses for now! I’m glad you like her!
      Thanks again,
      blessings, Jeanne

  4. Noel is so cute, Jeanne. You dressed her so that anyone passing by would want to snatch her up and give her a hug!

Enjoy your doll/dolls…and hopefully a warm weekend.

    Blessings.

    1. Awww Becky,
That’s so sweet of you to say… I hope she earns her keep and stays around for a long time. It’s always fun when a new little girl comes to my house!

We WILL have a warm weekend…it’s started already!
      Blessings, Jeanne

  5. Aww, Noel is just too sweet for words. I think she looks gorgeous in her debut dress. That blue print is just the thing to set off her eyes and the blue slip is very cute. I REALLY liked the gray eyed one you showed the other day., but, alas, way way beyond what I would spend on a doll. You can justify it because you sew for them and are able to recoup the coast in just a few dresses tops. You will certainly enjoy having her, maybe she’s why you needed to clear off some of the dolly shelf.
If AG ever makes a doll with gray decal eyes I would have to have her. I am really partial to the decal ones ( Samantha, Felicity, Caroline). I hope AG won’t carry the permapanties or new body shape over to any other historicals. The TM’s and Maryellen, Melody and Julie are quite enough. Have you seen BF Felicity? Her eyes are too dark to me and I don’t care for the fuller painted outside the lines lips. I know many find her stunning, so it’s probably just me. Felicity in her various forms- PC, transitional, Mattel and BF look the most different from each other. I’ll always love the 1991-1993 versions best! What I wonder is how well she will sell with no collection.

    1. Hi Laura,
Thanks for your kind compliments on Noel and her dress. I hope a little gray eyed one doesn’t pop up…she truly was the one I liked best. Some of the gray eyed ones looked like little German girls..absolutely stunnung.

There is lots of buzz about the new American Girl dolls and what’s happening to them…permanently sewn on panties, no clothes except for undies, too painted up faces, clothes packaged up with plastic barbs…making holes in the outfits! I’m not sure all these decisions are being made by the right person. Lots of ladies are boycotting all their moves. Who knows where it will all end.
      Thanks Laura,
      Blessings, Jeanne

That dress is just perfect for Noel!

You are a bad influence, Jeanne–I’ve been looking at Boneka dolls on ebay tonight! Haven’t found quite “the one” yet, but……
