A peek at Christmas Joy, Christmas Hope and Christmas Peace Little Darlings dresses…

I’ve been on the phone with Ebay for the last hour and a half trying to understand their new “listing format!” UGH… apparently it changed the end of September, since I listed my Christmas Rose Regency dress… just when I learn it one way they switch it up and change things around on me. I don’t list my things the “easy and simple” way… I used the Advanced tools format because I have a photo hosting program that lets me showcase my pictures in a bigger size. The lady who was helping me was lost and I was even “lost-er!” She hadn’t helped anyone who listed their listings using an outside photo hosting program. Finally between the two of us, we got one of the dresses listed. It’s 11:15 now and I should be heading to bed, but I’m going to try and get another one listed (as soon as I get done with this post) so I don’t forget how we did it. (The dresses aren’t active on EBay just yet…just scheduled to go on this evening.)

So for now I’ll just show you a few pictures of the dresses… I wanted to keep them a surprise, but I’m sure you WON’T mind, will you?

Here’s Lian in Christmas Joy… I had to shorten my title from Christmas Blessings of Joy on Ebay, because I added Betsy McCall’s name in the title and there weren’t enough characters…

If you click on the pictures they will enlarge.

Of course I’ll show you all three together…Awwww…aren’t they sweet?

I did take pictures of Betsy McCall, but only in the red dress…so far…

The girls dresses will go on Ebay tonight…if I can master the other two listings… I’ll add a side bar link and one on here when the auction becomes active.

Christmas Hope ~ Gold dress

Christmas Joy ~ Red dress

Christmas Peace ~ Green dress

So…do you have a favorite now that you can see all of them together?

See you tomorrow,
Blessings, Jeanne

  1. Oh Jeanne, you are tempting me!! That last picture of Betsy is adorable and my Betsy thinks so too! But I don’t see it listed, or any of the three and it is already after 5:00 am. Wonder what happened?

Janie is just breathtaking with that blonde hair and gold dress! At first I didn’t think that would work out, but wow, it does!
Your Betsy looks like she has reddish hair, mine is darker, I do believe. She would look so cute in that red dress,…………… I’m going to have to stop dreaming! I hope you get the dresses listed! So frustrating, isn’t it? Ahh, technology!

    1. Hi Linda,
The dresses won’t be on EBay until this evening. I have them “scheduled” to go on but they won’t show up until tonight. Betsy does look pretty cute, doesn’t she? My dolls hair is a pretty reddish tone but I have seen the brown headed dolls too.
All I can say is “happy dreaming!”
      Blessings, Jeanne

  2. Jeanne, the dresses are just adorable, they’re perfect and they look so nice together. I wish I had entered your little contest of which girl would be wearing which color because I had them right. Seeing your Betsy inspires me to get mine fixed. She was a gift from my daughter years ago and somehow she came un-strung. Not sure where to send her for repair. Just picked her up one day and her head fell off and her lower torso went one way and her upper the other…or something like that. She just came apart…it was horrifying. Continuing to pray for you and George. Kiss and a pat for Rueben.

    1. Thank you Bobi,
I really enjoyed making them… but it took a little more time and I hope everyone didn’t get too bored seeing the small bits of progress I made each day.
I just saw a tutorial on the internet on how to restring a older Betsy… I’ll see if I can’t find it fo for you.
Thanks so much for your prayers… we are heading to see an oncologist this afternoon and my stomach is like jello today!
      Blessings, Jeanne

  3. Love the photo of the three girls together. Another page for that book! Betsy is a cutie too.
Know this is a busy time of year, and you are a trooper to deal with Ebay too.
I’m making your corn casserole, broccoli cheese dish, and artichoke dip for Thursday. Heading to our daughters house and will of course get to play with the grands.

    1. HI Joy,
I like the pictures of the girls together too.. I had a hard time narrowing down which picture to use, so I used 3 different pictures on my listings…
I got the listings figured out so they are ready to go on this evening! Yay!
      I’m making corn casserole too!
      Thanks Joy,
      Blessings, Jeanne

  4. So beautiful, Jeanne. I cannot pick a favorite of the three girls in their finery, but I have to admit that Betsy McCall is probably my favorite in the red one. I guess it’s a tie for me with the other three…all adorable in their own ways.

Ah, too bad about the challenges at ebay…one would think as time goes on that things would get more simple???

    Blessings.

    1. HI Becky,
Well, I guess I listened well last night when the lady was explaining how to list my things… because I managed to get the other two dresses listed without having to call Ebay back. That’s good news! They will all come on between 8:30 and 8:45 tonight…IL time…

I’m glad you like the dresses. I’m glad I made 3 at once for them… I love the threesome pics!
      Thanks Becky,
      Blessings, Jeanne

  5. Three enchanting creations, three little beauties, three Christmas blessings! Standing together in their Christmas finery, these little darlings look like jewels in a crown, and sweet little Betsy is an equally precious gem in the red. Creating three dresses at once is more time consuming for you, Jeanne, but the end result is oh so delightful for us to behold! Here’s hoping your eBay troubles are behind you for now and these lovely dresses are ready to find a special home for Christmas. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if someone bought all three?

    1. Hi Anne,
It was just as much fun for me to see the 3 dresses come together at the same time too! …and yes…it would be fun for some wonderful mommy to own all three…
      Blessings, Jeanne

  6. Beautiful creations and congrats on mastering the eBay listing system. I’ll be thinking of you right now as you are discovering your path forward. Best wishes for your visit.

    1. Thank you Susette,
The listings are set to go on so i can at least relax about that. Sewing has been the only thong that seems normal in my life lately…
      Thanks so much,
      Blessings, Jeanne

  7. Praying God gives knowledge, wisdom and understanding to the new doctor and other medical professionals who will be caring for George, and praying for courage, strength, trust and peace for you and George on this journey. (((((HUGS)))))))

    1. Thank you Anne,
I was a wreck today when we were driving to see the oncologist. For a few days lately it has almost seemed so normal and back the way things used to be…then we pulled into the parking lot…SIH Cancer Institute…I lost it for a few moments…
But we like the new doctor who will be in charge of my hubby’s chemo treatments.
It will all start next week.
      Thank you Anne,
      Blessings, Jeanne

  8. All the dresses turned out wonderfully sweet. I love the red on Lian, but the gold on Janie is just gorgeous. She looks like an angel with her cute blond bob. Aww, you have red maryjanes on Isabelle. I bought Kit’s first reporter dress because of those red maryjanes. I need to find a pair of undecorated ones as well.
Betsy looks adorable in the red dress as well. I would be tempted to put her in the red shoes as well. It would be amazing if the same person won all three and had three LD’s to dress.
Glad you got the listing figured out. It seems eBay is forever changing the rules.

    1. Thanks so much Laura,
I’m so happy with the way the dresses all turned out. Yes…that Janie just gleams in that gold, doesn’t she?
A few more listings and I’ll have it down pat…I hope!
      Thanks Laura,
      Blessings, Jeanne

  9. Anne’s wish is a lovely one. I wish all those things for you too, so now it’s double strength.

I’m also hoping that some people save their Black Friday money for your auctions — I love these names — they are perfect for their dresses.

    1. Hi Marilyn,
Thank you for your wishes for us too…appreciate it more than you know.
Oh…I hope you’re right about the Black Friday thing too!!!
Do you go out shopping on Black Friday?
      Blessings, Jeanne

  10. Hi Jeanne,
ADORABLENESS! I love them all. Sorry they keep playing with the way you list your outfits. It must be so frustrating… I’m glad someone was able to help. Have a good evening, a nice Wednesday and a happy turkey day!
    Hugs
    Ingrid

    1. Thank you Ingrid,
I like that word…adorableness! I totally agree with you. It’s so fun to see them all dressed up alike…well…sort of alike!
I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving too!
      Blessings, Jeanne

  11. Keep your spirits up!! Know this is a lot, but you can pull through. Be strong you can do it. Know that you have lots of us behind you and George. All will end up perfect. I know it. 🙂
