A few wedding pictures…from Beech Springs Farm

Well, as much as I wanted to get that lavender dress finished, it didn’t happen! Sorry… So the next best thing I thought I could show you would be a few pictures of the wedding that I’ve received from some relatives. The place where my niece got married was called Beech Springs Farm in Pennsylvania and it was the most beautiful place you could ever dream of getting married at. I’ve included a link so you can see the place while I wait on more pictures to come in. They have a slide show on their home page to give you an idea of just how gorgeous this garden site is! Gorgeous is pretty much an understatement! Click HERE to see their home page and the slide show.

These pictures are mostly of the flower girls, but a few others too!

First up is Erin…getting dressed! That’s my sister, Erin’s mom, helping her button up all those buttons on the back. I forgot how many there were, but they gave her a special tool to loop the buttons with…pretty neat huh?

Erin was a beautiful bride!

The flower girls could hardly contain themselves!

After the rehearsal dinner, my sister asked if I might be able to fix the girls hair “up” somehow so they’d stay cooler. I used all that practice of doing my dolls hair and came up with a french braided crown with a little spray of white flowers tied around the crown. They were very cute. Nora had just gotten her hair cut so it was a bit of a challenge.

Trial run…

…and the day of the wedding…Hannah’s hair is almost black so those bobby pins didn’t show up as much as they do in my picture.

My mom was walked to her seat by Erin’s younger brother, Caleb.

Next were Erin’s mom and dad…(my sister and brother in law)

Oh…the anticipation of waiting for it to be your turn to walk down the aisle…soon!

…and finally…it’s here!

There now, wasn’t that better than any old lavender dress?
I’ll share more as I get more pictures.

See you tomorrow,

  1. Gorgeous pictures, Jeanne! What a treat to sit here and drink my coffee and get started with the day! I love, love, love all of it! Everything looked so perfect and that farm is just the most perfect place—just like a botanical garden!

Oh, those two darling flower girls! That is such a sweet picture of them peeking out of the window, waiting for their turn to go down the aisle! If you ask me, I think they stole the show! I loved the picture of them with the bridesmaids, what a beautiful color combination their dresses made together!

It looks like the wedding was outdoors, but I thought it would be inside the barn. Was that plan B? I remember that weekend, and it looked like there was a lot of rain in Pennsylvania, but not your pictures! I better stop and let others ooh and ahh over these darling pictures! Thanks for showing them.

    1. HI Linda,
Thank you for your wonderful comments! Beech Springs Farm was quite an experience. It made you want to go home and plant every kind of flowering bush and shrub you could think of. I’ve never seen anything or any place that was so beautiful!
I think Hannah and Nora did steal the show… they started walking and throwing their rose petals on the ground and of course Nora did “everything” just the way Hannah did! It was so cute!
I may have mentioned earlier when I was talking about the wedding that it was going to be in a barn… that was before I realized the wedding was going to be outside, if the weather permitted, but could be moved inside if need be. Then the reception was held in the barn. It truly wasn’t your average barn…but absolutely breathtaking inside.

It was beautiful outside for the wedding, a mixture of sun and clouds, then we moved inside and during the dinner, it started to rain…cooling things off quite a bit. They opened the big barn doors and a breeze blew through…it was really nice. Then it stopped and we could go outside again. It was perfect timing. If she’d had her wedding one hour later, it wouldn’t have happened outside!
      Thanks Linda,
      Blessings, Jeanne

    1. Thanks Christine,
Thank you for your sweet words. It was a beautiful wedding and everything was just like Erin hoped it would be.
      Blessings, Jeanne

  2. Thank you for sharing the wedding pictures. The farm venue was absolutely beautiful. Such vivid colors in the floral areas and the lush green grass. What a serene place!
The bridesmaids and the little girls were just lovely in their soft blue/flowered dresses and with the country background, they looked perfect. It must have been a beautiful wedding.
Looking forward to seeing more pictures!
    Blessing!

    1. HI Paula,
It WAS more beautiful than you could imagine. I can’t wait to share my brother’s pictures. I’m sure they will be good but not quite like being there in person.
I am so glad it was a pretty day for the wedding. Nothing like booking a venue 1 1/2 years in advance only to have it rain on your special day. I’m so glad the rain waited until we were in the barn before it started. It was actually kind of neat, being up high in the barn, with the doors open on both sides and seeing the rain come down!
      Thanks Paula,
      Blessings, Jeanne

  3. That whole scene was just heavenly! Everything was perfect and the little ones were so sweet. The flower girls looked adorable and you got the fit just right! What a great venue for a wedding…can’t wait to see more pictures

    1. Thanks Kathie,
It was nothing short of “heavenly!” You can’t imagine how beautiful it was. To get to the seating you had to walk through this path through the flowers. It was divine!
      Thanks so much,
      Blessings, Jeanne

  4. Yes, Jeanne, that was much more fun than a lavender dress. Erin is beautiful, I think she looks more like you than like her mom. I knew hair styling was one of your talents….what a good job you did. It’s amazing the plethora of flowers that are already blooming there. We’ve had the usual spring bulbs and trees, but I haven’t seen much else except the pots on our patio. We’ve stopped trying to catch squirrels because we were catching cardinals instead but last night I thought the chipmunk trap was so much smaller I’d be safe. Wrong! There is a reason for the phrase “bird brain”. Guess I’ll just have to let the critters dig in my flower pots!
It’s so good to have you back. Glad you had good weather for the wedding.

    1. HI Jevne,
Yes, Erin was a beautiful bride and was beaming the day of her wedding…after she got down the walkway…she was a “teary” bride!
Just wait till you see the flowers that my brother took pictures of. You’ll be amazed!
Sorry about all your critter troubles… they can be annoying!

Your new little Ten Ping outfit is adorable. I love the picture of her at the top of the tree!
      Thanks so much Jevne,
      Blessings, Jeanne

  5. Thrilled to see the wedding photos. Looking forward to more. Seeing the dresses coming to reality makes your readers part of the celebration too. Just one piece of cake please. I’ve been in many barns but nothing like this one.

    1. HI Jan,
Thanks so much and yes, the cake was DELICIOUS…made by Erin’s sister in law! Just wait…I’ve got pictures of the cake. It was beautiful too!
I can’t wait to show you more!
      Blessings, Jeanne

  6. How beautiful they all are ! The bride, the bridemaids…. specially th two little girls ! You did a great work ! I do like the bridemaids dressed in the same way. In France, just little girls and boys are doing the “job” and what we call the “we didn’t whitness” wear what they want, even if it doesn’t match (!) except white dresses foÅ• the ladies of course.
Thank you for sharing those Nice photos.
    Friendly.
