~ Waiting for Christmas ~ for Molly ~ is NOW on Ebay!

I don’t know what happened to my day yesterday but it was over before I got to answer any comments….and I WASN’T laying on the couch eating Bon Bons. (I could only “dream” of that!) We are leaving at 4:30 Friday morning for my second eye surgery. So I had to pass on the comments…but I DID read them (finally) at 9:15! I will do my best to show a post on Saturday, if possible, on how to make the socks. They are very easy and I think I can make it simple enough for everyone to understand. Thanks in advance for those of you who said you’d pray… it’s not like it’s an ingrown toenail…it’s my eyeball! EEK!

If you haven’t seen it already, I have Molly’s dress set listed on Ebay. You can see it by clicking the picture at the right side bar or you can click HERE.

I made her a sweet hair bow, but I might include a length of ribbon for the winner in case you have your doll’s hair in braids and don’t want to take them down.

Molly found this pretty ornament and wanted it for her “accessory” and also wanted to be the very first one to wish you a Merry Christmas!

Thanks everyone,
I need to get to bed now…
See you tomorrow,
Blessings, Jeanne

The bow is lovely, and that ornament is perfect, Jeanne!!

It is now shortly after 2 a.m. in the Seattle area, so if you are on CST, you are getting ready to leave your house very soon for your second cataract surgery. You are in my prayers!

I’ll look forward to the post on the socks, whenever you are able to do it! No hurry.

  2. As I write this, Jeanne, it is 4:40, so you are on your way! Prayers that everything goes well, and that you are home soon!

Golly, Molly looks so festive and Christmasy! I always think that she likes her hair down for special occasions to feel more grown up, pretty, and angelic! Well, she does, and you could almost put a pair of wings and add a halo to her! Love the bow, but yes, that is good to add ribbons to those who don’t want to take her braids out.

By the time you read this it will be over and you will be home! Now just rest!!!

Dear Jeanne, I hope you are resting and maybe just listening to some music and staying quiet. In a day or two, you should have your footing.

I love Molly’s bow and ornament. They are both just the right touches.

  4. Dear People that are awake before 5a.m.,
Do you get up early or are you still up?

    Dear Jeanne,
I hope you are at home resting with your feet up and a favorite beverage at hand. Let me be the first to wish YOU a MERRY CHRISTMAS!🎄

    Dear Molly,
You look mahvelous in your special holiday outfit! I wonder, where did you find your tiny ornament?

    Dear Everyone else,
Does the time change throw your body clock off? Mine is way outa wack. I’m going to bed at 9 and getting up at 6. I tend to be a night owl. I don’t even know who I am anymore!

In other news, my iron died yesterday. It started to smell like it was over heating so I unplugged it. Later I plugged it back in. No smell. Good. No heat. Bad. Did you know that if you heat up a cast iron frying pan, you can use that! It adheres iron-on pellon to fleece. I guess I’ll be shopping for an iron today.

Julia, I’m in the Seattle area (Pacific time) so am 2-3 hours behind those in the midwest. When I write, it’s often at 2 a.m. (sometimes later!) my time, and I am still up. I am a night owl, and always have been!! Even as a kid, we’d go to bed at 8 or 9 (whatever our bed time was) and I was often still awake a couple of hours later–I’d hear the train go thru at 10:50 p.m., and Then fall asleep!

  5. I’m an early bird, Julia, getting up most days around 3:30 to 4! I’m not a night owl at all, no reason under the sun to do anything after dinner! I hated that extra hour we had Sunday! I just wanted to get up and get going! I’m no good for anything after 7:30 in the evening!

  6. Jeanne, thinking of you knowing you could be done with your surgery by now. I hope you can rest when you get home as you did after having the other eye surgery. Bless you and your eye, dear.

Coming out to California, and the time being behind three hours, is really difficult for me to adapt to. First couple of nights, I was in bed or at least laying in my bed by 6:30! I’m still adjusting.

    Molly’s outfit is absolutely adorable.

  7. Not being a morning person at all, I loved the extra hour Sunday night. Our choir practice is Sunday morning at 9:15 a.m. so I have to get up at 7 a.m.. I usually get up at 8 a.m. In the spring I have a miserable time losing that hour. When I was working I had to get up at 5:30 a.m.. I took early retirement years ago because the commute from here into Houston was becoming a real problem as they kept building westward and the traffic kept increasing. Now I don’t even like to think there is a 5:30 a.m. on the clock. When we leave on vacation I have to get up at 6 a.m. A real struggle for me. What’s worse and unlike me, Hubby is one of those older people who requires little sleep. He reads until 2 a.m. and then is usually awake by 5:30 a.m. If I get up at 8:05 a.m., he’s already left the house for his shop. Ships that pass in the night.

Joy, how could you do this to me. I’ve got such a serious case of dolly fever and you put something I can’t resist in my path. Seriously, thanks for letting us/me know about the wonderful Ruby Red Fashion Friends dolls. So cute and so affordable. I’m out of dolly funds at the moment but I should be in good shape next week to buy one. I have a Wellie and the patterns should fit them. Wellies are 14.5″ too and the Friends look to have the same build. Jeanne sold her Wellie. Perhaps we could encourage her to buy another or one of the Friends. Even if someone isn’t interested in buying a Friend check out the website. And for sure watch the video of the fashion show. Totally amazing and adorable.

I got an e-mail from Magalie yesterday and she had some Little Darling BJDs. By the time I saw the message they had all sold. She said she is ordering more but she can’t guarantee that she will be filling orders with them because they will be limited in supply.

I was looking at the Eyes of Texas dolls the size and shape of the Boneka dolls. I have no dolls that size and shape and, after drooling over Noel’s ensemble, I decided I’d like to have a doll that size. Unfortunately the Boneka dolls are out of my price range at the moment. But, the Eyes of Texas dolls are porcelain and I guess would require special care. Would love to hear the pros and cons of owning porcelain dolls from any that know or have them.

At the moment it is 11:31 a.m. here and we are in the same time zone, Jeanne, so I suspect you are home from your eye surgery and hopefully resting peacefully. I am totally amazed at what you were able to accomplish with half your surgery done. Praying for a speedy recovery for you and looking forward to your next creation.

    1. Glad you like the RRFF girls. I understand that Battat Glitter Girls boots fit them as well as some of the Wellie things. But, the outfits that come with them are pretty cute too and include shoes. Still trying to decide on that. 🙂

  8. Hope everything went as well as the first one! Stay down and spoil yourself this weekend.
The dress is just so Molly although any cute AG will be Darling in it!
My girls are coming Sunday to help decorate for Christmas. I have an early party to host and this was the only time we could do it together.
Anyone in driving distance to Lincoln Ne should check out the doll auction at Ford and Ford Auctions. The first of four this month is tomorrow.. another Sunday. Lots of pictures.
    Take care 😍

  9. Here I thought I had posted this morning, but guess I didn’t. Bad me. Was thinking of you this morning and figured that your surgery was probably already over. I’m sure it went well. Can’t wait to hear how greatly improved your vision will be in a few weeks.
We started in doing some Christmas shopping for the grands today. Target has in all of their Christmas toys and most of the decoration bins were full. I always seem to miss out on the cute stuff there. So, I went ahead and bought a little wooden ski school hut in the front section. I think the dollies will like it. 🙂
My finger slip Ruby Red Fashion Friend, Hanna will be here Tuesday. She will need some outfits and shoes too. 🙂
